上帝眷顧挪亞及方舟裡的野獸和牲畜，使風吹在大地上，水便開始消退。

亞伯拉罕上前說：「你要把義人和惡人一同毀滅嗎？倘若城中有五十個義人，你還要毀滅那城嗎？你會不會為了五十個義人而饒恕那座城呢？你絕不會黑白不分，把義人和惡人一同毀滅。你是普天下的審判者，難道不秉公行事嗎？」耶和華回答說：「倘若我在所多瑪城中找到五十個義人，我就要因他們的緣故饒恕全城。」亞伯拉罕說：「主啊，雖然我渺小如灰塵，但我還要大膽地求問你，倘若只有四十五個義人，你會因為少了五個義人而毀滅全城嗎？」耶和華說：「倘若我在城裡找到四十五個義人，我也不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕又說：「倘若在那裡找到四十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「為了那四十個人的緣故，我不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕說：「求主不要發怒，容許我再問一次，倘若在那裡只找到三十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「倘若在那裡只找到三十個，我也不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕說：「我大膽再問一次，倘若在那裡只找到二十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「為了那二十個人的緣故，我也不會毀滅那城。」亞伯拉罕又說：「求主不要發怒，讓我問最後一次，倘若在那裡只找到十個義人呢？」耶和華說：「為了那十個人的緣故，我也不會毀滅那城。」耶和華跟亞伯拉罕說完話便離開了，亞伯拉罕也回家去了。

求你饒恕我年輕時的罪惡和過犯，以你的恩惠和慈愛待我。

祂眷顧處於卑賤境地的我們，因為祂的慈愛永遠長存。

我吩咐利未人潔淨自己，然後來看守城門，尊安息日為聖日。我的上帝啊，求你因此而記念我，按你豐盛的慈愛憐憫我。

因為祂沒有忘記祂賜給僕人亞伯拉罕的神聖應許。

那時，你們便會想起自己邪惡的行徑，並因自己的罪惡和可憎行為而厭惡自己。主耶和華說，你們應當知道，我這樣做並不是為了你們。以色列人啊，你們應當為自己的行為抱愧蒙羞。』

祂只拯救了因惡人的淫亂放蕩而憂傷的義人羅得，

耶和華保護所有愛祂的人，毀滅一切惡人。

以法蓮啊，我怎能捨棄你？以色列啊，我怎能棄絕你？我怎能使你的下場如押瑪？我怎能對待你如對待洗扁？我的心意改變，我滿懷憐愛。

我的上帝啊，求你因這事而記念我，不要塗抹我為上帝的殿和其中的敬拜禮儀所做的善事。

我必使你成為大國，我必賜福給你，使你聲名遠播。你必成為別人的祝福。

上帝眷顧拉結，聽了她的禱告，使她可以生育。

耶和華啊！你恩待你子民的時候，求你別忘了我；你拯救他們的時候，求你幫助我，

祂永遠記得祂的約，歷經千代也不忘祂的應許，
