With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying,“ Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”

The sun was coming up. So the angels tried to get Lot to leave. They said,“ Hurry up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out! If you don’t, you will be swept away when the city is destroyed.”

As morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying,“ Up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be swept away in the punishment of the city.”

At daybreak the angels urged Lot on:“ Get up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.”

If you do, you will be destroyed for their sins.”So all the people stood back from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. Then Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the entrances of their tents, together with their wives and children and little ones.

Then I heard another voice calling from heaven,“ Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her.

That is why the Holy Spirit says,“ Today when you hear his voice,don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

But hurry! Escape to it, for I can do nothing until you arrive there.”( This explains why that village was known as Zoar, which means“ little place.”)

“ Work hard to enter the narrow door to God’s Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail.When the master of the house has locked the door, it will be too late. You will stand outside knocking and pleading,‘ Lord, open the door for us!’ But he will reply,‘ I don’t know you or where you come from.’

For God says,“ At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the“ right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

Don’t put it off; do it now! Don’t rest until you do.Save yourself like a gazelle escaping from a hunter, like a bird fleeing from a net.

When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered,“ Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”
