This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

Is this blessing then only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? For we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness.How then was it counted to him? Was it before or after he had been circumcised? It was not after, but before he was circumcised.He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,

In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Moses gave you circumcision( not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.

Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision.For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God.

For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh—

And this is the reason why Joshua circumcised them: all the males of the people who came out of Egypt, all the men of war, had died in the wilderness on the way after they had come out of Egypt.

whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you.

Only on this condition will we agree with you— that you will become as we are by every male among you being circumcised.

For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical.But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.Then what advantage has the Jew? Or what is the value of circumcision?

For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

If a stranger shall sojourn with you and would keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised. Then he may come near and keep it; he shall be as a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.

since God is one— who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh who would force you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.

At that time the Lord said to Joshua,“ Make flint knives and circumcise the sons of Israel a second time.”

Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son’s foreskin and touched Moses’ feet with it and said,“ Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me!”

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no longer stubborn.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
