So Abram said to Sarai,“ Indeed your maid is in your hand; do to her as you please.” And when Sarai dealt harshly with her, she fled from her presence.

亚伯兰对撒莱说：“使女在你手下，你可以随意待她。”撒莱苦待她，她就从撒莱面前逃走了。

亚伯兰对撒莱说：“看哪，婢女在你手里，你可以照你看为好的对待她。”于是，撒莱虐待她，她就从撒莱面前逃走了。

亚伯兰对撒莱说：“看哪，婢女在你手里，你可以照你看为好的对待她。”于是，撒莱虐待她，她就从撒莱面前逃走了。

亚伯兰对撒莱说：“婢女在你手中，随你处置。”于是，撒莱苦待夏甲，夏甲就逃走了。

亚伯兰对撒莱说：“你的婢女在你手中，你看怎样好，就怎样待她吧。”于是撒莱虐待夏甲，她就从撒莱面前逃走了。

亚伯兰对撒莱说：“看哪，你的婢女在你手中；你看怎样好，就怎样对待她吧！”于是撒莱苦待夏甲，夏甲就从撒莱面前逃走了。

亞伯蘭曰、婢為爾所治、可任意以待、於是撒萊虐遇之、夏甲逃避焉、

亞伯蘭曰、婢為爾所治、可任意以待。於是撒勑以困苦相加、婢乃遁逃。

亞伯蘭謂撒萊曰、婢為爾所治、原文作在爾手中可任意以待、撒萊苦待夏甲、夏甲逃遁以避之、

“ Your slave is in your hands,” Abram said.“ Do with her whatever you think best.” Then Sarai mistreated Hagar; so she fled from her.

“ Your slave belongs to you,” Abram said.“ Do with her what you think is best.” Then Sarai treated Hagar badly. So Hagar ran away from her.

But Abram said to Sarai,“ Behold, your servant is in your power; do to her as you please.” Then Sarai dealt harshly with her, and she fled from her.

Abram replied,“ Look, she is your servant, so deal with her as you see fit.” Then Sarai treated Hagar so harshly that she finally ran away.

Abram replied to Sarai,“ Here, your slave is in your power; do whatever you want with her.” Then Sarai mistreated her so much that she ran away from her.

But Abram said to Sarai,“ Look, your slave woman is in your power; do to her what is good in your sight.” So Sarai treated her harshly, and she fled from her presence.

But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her that which is good in thine eyes. And Sarai dealt hardly with her, and she fled from her face.

Abram replied to Sarai,“ Here, your slave is in your hands; do whatever you want with her.” Then Sarai mistreated her so much that she ran away from her.

But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid[ is] in thy hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.

Abram said to Sarai,“ Since your servant is under your authority, do to her whatever you think best.” Then Sarai treated Hagar harshly, so she ran away from Sarai.

But Abram said to Sarai,“ Behold, your maid is in your hand. Do to her whatever is good in your eyes.” Sarai dealt harshly with her, and she fled from her face.

Then Zedekiah the king said,“ Look, he is in your hand. For the king can do nothing against you.”

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly.

A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

So Abram said to Lot,“ Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.”

And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles, And those who hated them ruled over them.Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were brought into subjection under their hand.

Like a bird that wanders from its nest Is a man who wanders from his place.

Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed, for all his master’s goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.

A servant will not be corrected by mere words; For though he understands, he will not respond.
