So Hagar named the LORD who spoke to her,“ You are the God who sees me,” for she said,“ Here I have seen one who sees me!”

夏甲就称那向她说话的耶和华为“你是看见的上帝”，因为她说：“他看见了我之后，我还能在这里看见他吗？”

夏甲称对她说话的耶和华为“看顾人的上帝”，她说：“我竟然在这里看见了看顾我的上帝。”

于是，夏甲给那对她说话的耶和华，起名叫“你是看顾人的神”，因为她说：“在这里我不是也看见了那位看顾人的吗？”

夏甲就称那对她说话的耶和华为“你是看顾的神”，因为她说：“我竟然在这里见到了看顾我的那一位！”

夏甲就稱那對她說話的耶和華為「看顧人的神」。因而說：「在這裏我也看見那看顧我的嗎？」

夏甲就稱那向她說話的耶和華為「你是看見的上帝」，因為她說：「他看見了我之後，我還能在這裏看見他嗎？」

夏甲就稱那向她說話的耶和華為「你是看見的神」，因為她說：「他看見了我之後，我還能在這裏看見他嗎？」

夏甲稱對她說話的耶和華為「看顧人的上帝」，她說：「我竟然在這裡看見了看顧我的上帝。」

於是，夏甲給那對她說話的耶和華，起名叫“你是看顧人的神”，因為她說：“在這裡我不是也看見了那位看顧人的嗎？”

於是夏甲稱那對她說話的永恆主叫「你是看見萬事的上帝」，因為她說：『連在這裏我也居然看見那看着我的麼？』

夏甲就稱那對她說話的耶和華為「你是看顧的神」，因為她說：「我竟然在這裡見到了看顧我的那一位！」

夏甲蒙耶和華諭、則稱其名曰監人之上帝、蓋曰、我豈於此、瞻仰夫監我者乎、

夏甲既蒙耶和華所諭、則稱其名曰、爾乃監我之上帝。蓋曰、我非於此、以景仰夫監我者乎、

夏甲蒙主諭示、即籲主名曰、爾乃俯鑒我之天主、蓋曰、主俯鑒我後、得瞻仰主、

She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her:“ You are the God who sees me,” for she said,“ I have now seen the One who sees me.”

She gave a name to the Lord who spoke to her. She called him“ You are the God who sees me.” That’s because she said,“ I have now seen the One who sees me.”

So she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,“ You are a God of seeing,” for she said,“ Truly here I have seen him who looks after me.”

Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said,“ You are the God who sees me.” She also said,“ Have I truly seen the One who sees me?”

So she named the LORD who spoke to her:“ You are El-roi,” for she said,“ In this place, have I actually seen the one who sees me?”

Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her,“ You are a God who sees me”; for she said,“ Have I even seen Him here and lived after He saw me?”

Then she called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said,“ Have I also here seen Him who sees me?”

And she called the name of Jehovah that spake unto her, Thou art a God that seeth: for she said, Have I even here looked after him that seeth me?

So she called the Lord who spoke to her: The God Who Sees, for she said,“ In this place, have I actually seen the One who sees me?”

And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

She called the name of Yahweh who spoke to her,“ You are a God who sees,” for she said,“ Have I even stayed alive after seeing him?”

So Jacob named the place Peniel, explaining,“ Certainly I have seen God face to face and have survived.”

O LORD, you examine me and know.You know when I sit down and when I get up; even from far away you understand my motives.You carefully observe me when I travel or when I lie down to rest; you are aware of everything I do.Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without you, O LORD, being thoroughly aware of it.You squeeze me in from behind and in front; you place your hand on me.Your knowledge is beyond my comprehension; it is so far beyond me, I am unable to fathom it.Where can I go to escape your spirit? Where can I flee to escape your presence?If I were to ascend to heaven, you would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there you would be.If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea,even there your hand would guide me, your right hand would grab hold of me.If I were to say,“ Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,”even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, and the night is as bright as day; darkness and light are the same to you.

For the ways of a person are in front of the LORD’s eyes, and the LORD weighs all that person’s paths.

The LORD’s angel found Hagar near a spring of water in the desert– the spring that is along the road to Shur.

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on those who are evil and those who are good.

Then the LORD’s angel said to her,“ Return to your mistress and submit to her authority.I will greatly multiply your descendants,” the LORD’s angel added,“ so that they will be too numerous to count.”

If the God of my father– the God of Abraham, the one whom Isaac fears– had not been with me, you would certainly have sent me away empty-handed! But God saw how I was oppressed and how hard I worked, and he rebuked you last night.”

He was afraid and said,“ What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!”

Gideon built an altar for the LORD there, and named it“ The LORD is on friendly terms with me.” To this day it is still there in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

And Abraham called the name of that place“ The LORD provides.” It is said to this day,“ In the mountain of the LORD provision will be made.”

The LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the LORD by name.The LORD passed by before him and proclaimed:“ The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, and abounding in loyal love and faithfulness,keeping loyal love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin. But he by no means leaves the guilty unpunished, responding to the transgression of fathers by dealing with children and children’s children, to the third and fourth generation.”

And Moses said,“ Show me your glory.”And the LORD said,“ I will make all my goodness pass before your face, and I will proclaim the LORD by name before you; I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, I will show mercy to whom I will show mercy.”But he added,“ You cannot see my face, for no one can see me and live.”The LORD said,“ Here is a place by me; you will station yourself on a rock.When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and will cover you with my hand while I pass by.Then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back, but my face must not be seen.”
