Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Abram believed the Lord. The Lord was pleased with Abram because he believed. So Abram’s faith made him right with the Lord.

And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.

Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Then he believed in the Lord; and He credited it to him as righteousness.

And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

And he believed in Jehovah; and he reckoned it to him for righteousness.

Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.

And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD considered his response of faith as proof of genuine loyalty.

He believed in Yahweh, who credited it to him for righteousness.

and the Scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”— and he was called a friend of God.

Is this blessing then only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? For we say that faith was counted to Abraham as righteousness.

just as Abraham“ believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham.And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying,“ In you shall all the nations be blessed.”So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written,“ Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for“ The righteous shall live by faith.”But the law is not of faith, rather“ The one who does them shall live by them.”Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us— for it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith.

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God,fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.That is why his faith was“ counted to him as righteousness.”But the words“ it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone,but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord,who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

For what does the Scripture say?“ Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.”Now to the one who works, his wages are not counted as a gift but as his due.And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:

And that was counted to him as righteousness from generation to generation forever.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,

that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
