And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we are brethren.

亞伯蘭謂羅得曰、爾我乃骨肉之親、不可相爭、爾牧我牧、何競之有、

So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives.

So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not argue with each other. The people taking care of your herds and those taking care of mine shouldn’t argue with one another either. After all, we’re part of the same family.

Then Abram said to Lot,“ Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, for we are kinsmen.

Finally Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not allow this conflict to come between us or our herdsmen. After all, we are close relatives!

So Abram said to Lot,“ Please, let’s not have quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, since we are relatives.

So Abram said to Lot,“ Please let there be no strife between you and me, nor between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are relatives!

So Abram said to Lot,“ Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.

Then Abram said to Lot,“ Please, let’s not have quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, since we are relatives.

And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we[ be] brethren.

Abram said to Lot,“ Let there be no quarreling between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are close relatives.

Abram said to Lot,“ Please, let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen; for we are relatives.

but brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?Nay, already it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!

And the day following he appeared unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?

Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram’s wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.And Sarai was barren; She had no child.And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter- in- law, his son Abram’s wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.But whoso hath the world’s goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?My little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue; but in deed and truth.Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before him:

and in your godliness brotherly kindness; and in your brotherly kindness love.

Do all things without murmurings and questionings:

So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother, is in the darkness even until now.He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.But he that hateth his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.

A wrathful man stirreth up contention; But he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another;

And he went out the second day, and, behold, two men of the Hebrews were striving together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?

Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:

A soft answer turneth away wrath; But a grievous word stirreth up anger.

But concerning love of the brethren ye have no need that one write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another;

Finally, be ye all likeminded, compassionate, loving as brethren, tenderhearted, humbleminded:

It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife; But every fool will be quarrelling.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.

with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:

Seeing ye have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another from the heart fervently:

Let love of the brethren continue.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God.

Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
