Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.

Terah left Ur in Babylon. He took with him his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran. Terah also took his daughter- in- law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram. All of them left together to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they made their home there.

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter in law Sarai( his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot( his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

你是耶和華上帝，曾揀選亞伯蘭，領他出迦勒底的吾珥，給他改名叫亞伯拉罕。

那僕人從他主人的駱駝中取了十匹駱駝，他手中也帶着他主人各樣的貴重物品離開，起身往美索不達米亞去，到了拿鶴的城。

他拉共活了二百零五年，就死在哈蘭。耶和華對亞伯蘭說：「你要離開本地、本族、父家，往我所要指示你的地去。

約書亞對眾百姓說：「耶和華－以色列的上帝如此說：『古時你們的列祖，就是亞伯拉罕和拿鶴的父親他拉，住在大河那邊事奉別神。我將你們的祖宗亞伯拉罕從大河那邊帶出來，領他走遍迦南全地，又使他的子孫眾多。我把以撒賜給他，

迦南的疆界是從西頓到基拉耳，直到迦薩，又到所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁，直到拉沙。

現在，我兒，聽我的話，起來，逃往哈蘭，到我哥哥拉班那裏去，

因着信，亞伯拉罕蒙召的時候就遵命出去，往將來要承受為基業的地方去；他出去的時候還不知往哪裏去。

雅各對他們說：「弟兄們，你們從哪裏來？」他們說：「我們是從哈蘭來的。」他對他們說：「你們認識拿鶴的孫子拉班嗎？」他們說：「我們認識。」

他拉活到七十歲，生了亞伯蘭、拿鶴和哈蘭。這是他拉的後代。他拉生亞伯蘭、拿鶴和哈蘭；哈蘭生羅得。哈蘭死在他父親他拉的面前，死在他的出生地迦勒底的吾珥。

話還沒說完，看哪，利百加肩頭上扛着水瓶出來。利百加是彼土利所生的；彼土利是亞伯拉罕的兄弟拿鶴妻子密迦的兒子。
