Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.

Terah left Ur in Babylon. He took with him his son Abram and his grandson Lot, the son of Haran. Terah also took his daughter- in- law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram. All of them left together to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they made their home there.

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

One day Terah took his son Abram, his daughter in law Sarai( his son Abram’s wife), and his grandson Lot( his son Haran’s child) and moved away from Ur of the Chaldeans. He was headed for the land of Canaan, but they stopped at Haran and settled there.

你是耶和华上帝，你拣选了亚伯兰，带他离开迦勒底的吾珥，又给他改名为亚伯拉罕。

司提凡说：“各位父老兄弟，请听我说！我们的祖先亚伯拉罕还未迁到哈兰之前，住在美索不达米亚，荣耀的上帝向他显现，说，‘你要离开家乡和亲族，到我要指示你的地方去。’亚伯拉罕就离开迦勒底人的地方，在哈兰住了下来。他父亲过世以后，上帝又领他到你们现在居住的这个地方。

亚伯兰就照耶和华的吩咐离开哈兰，侄儿罗得与他同行。那时亚伯兰七十五岁。

耶和华又对他说：“我是耶和华，我带你离开了迦勒底的吾珥，为要把这片土地赐给你。”

老总管带着主人的十匹骆驼和各种上好的礼物，启程前往美索不达米亚，来到拿鹤住的城。

他拉在那里去世，享年二百零五岁。耶和华对亚伯兰说：“你要离开家乡、亲族和父亲的家，到我要指示你的地方去。

约书亚对全体民众说：“以色列的上帝耶和华这样说，‘从前你们的祖先，包括亚伯拉罕和拿鹤二人的父亲他拉，住在幼发拉底河那边拜别的神明。我把你们的祖先亚伯拉罕从幼发拉底河那边带出来，领他走遍迦南，使他人丁兴旺。我把以撒赐给他，

迦南的疆域从西顿向基拉耳延伸，远至迦萨，再向所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁延伸，远至拉沙。

孩子，听我的话，现在就逃到哈兰你舅舅拉班那里，

亚伯拉罕因为有信心，听到上帝的呼召后，就遵命前往他将要承受为产业的地方，但他出发的时候还不知道自己要去哪里。

雅各问牧人：“弟兄们，你们是从哪里来的？”他们说：“我们是从哈兰来的。”雅各问道：“你们认识拿鹤的孙子拉班吗？”他们说：“我们认识。”

他拉七十岁后，生了亚伯兰、拿鹤和哈兰。以下是他拉的后代。他拉生亚伯兰、拿鹤和哈兰，哈兰生罗得。哈兰比他父亲他拉先去世，他死在自己的家乡——迦勒底的吾珥。

老总管的话还没有说完，就有一位名叫利百加的少女肩上扛着水罐走出来。她是彼土利的女儿，彼土利是亚伯拉罕的兄弟拿鹤和密迦所生的儿子。
