God blessed them and said to them,“ Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

若不是耶和華建造房屋，建造的人就枉然勞力；若不是耶和華看守城池，看守的人就枉然警醒。你們清晨早起，夜晚安歇，吃勞碌得來的飯，本是枉然；惟有耶和華所親愛的，必叫他安然睡覺。看哪，兒女是耶和華所賜的產業，所懷的胎是他所給的賞賜。人在年輕時生的兒女好像勇士手中的箭。箭袋充滿的人有福了！他們在城門口和仇敵爭論時必不蒙羞。

凡與你一起有血肉的生物，就是飛鳥、牲畜和地上爬的一切爬行動物，都要帶出來。牠們要在地上滋生，繁殖增多。」

你妻子在你內室，好像多結果子的葡萄樹；你兒女圍繞你的桌子，如同橄欖樹苗。看哪，敬畏耶和華的人必要這樣蒙福！

我必多多賜福給你，我必使你的後裔大大增多，如同天上的星、海邊的沙。你的後裔必得仇敵的城門，並且地上的萬國都必因你的後裔得福，因為你聽從了我的話。』」

雅比斯求告以色列的神說：「甚願你賜福與我，擴張我的疆界，你的手常與我同在，保佑我不遭患難，不受艱苦。」神就應允他所求的。

他賜福給他們，使他們生養眾多，也不叫他們的牲畜減少。

我必賜福給她，也要從她賜一個兒子給你。我必賜福給撒拉，她要興起多國；必有百姓的君王從她而出。」

至於以實瑪利，我已聽見你了：看哪，我必賜福給他，使他興旺，極其繁多。他必生十二個族長，我要使他成為大國。

六子是亞米利，七子是以薩迦，八子是毗烏利太，因為神賜福給俄別‧以東。

當夜耶和華向他顯現，說：「我是你父親亞伯拉罕的神。不要懼怕，因為我與你同在，要賜福給你，也要為我僕人亞伯拉罕的緣故，使你的後裔增多。」

你父親的神必幫助你；全能者必賜福給你：天上的福，深淵下面蘊藏的福，以及生育哺養的福。

以掃舉目看見婦人和孩子，就說：「這些和你一起的是誰呢？」雅各說：「這些孩子是神施恩給你僕人的。」

你要寄居在這地，我必與你同在，賜福給你，因為我要將這一切的地都賜給你和你的後裔。我必堅定我向你父親亞伯拉罕所起的誓。我要使你的後裔增多，好像天上的星，又要將這一切的地賜給你的後裔，並且地上的萬國都必因你的後裔得福，

他們就為利百加祝福，對她說：「我們的妹妹啊，願你作千萬人的母親！願你的後裔得着仇敵的城門！」

願天和地、海洋和其中一切的動物都讚美他！

這樣，耶和華後來賜福給約伯比先前更多。他有一萬四千隻羊，六千匹駱駝，一千對牛，一千匹母驢。

他們禁止嫁娶，又禁戒食物－就是神所造、讓那信而明白真理的人存感謝的心領受的。
