蓋分派立異之事、在所不免；偽者既起、則真者彌著矣。

有巫名西門者、行邪道於城中。誇妄自尊、邑民皆為其熒惑、無長無幼、莫不尊之、曰：『斯人即所謂天主之大能者歟！』眾之所以嚮往至此者、蓋受其巫術之眩惑也久矣。

蓋爾明哲、固能優容狂妄之徒；

人有分門結黨、經一再勸戒而不悛者、絕之可也，

嗣復往祈禱所、有婢迎至、巫鬼憑之以行卜、為其主人獲利不貲；隨葆樂後而呼曰：『是為至尊天主之僕、以拯救之道授爾眾。』如是者多日；葆樂不勝其擾、乃顧為鬼曰：『吾奉耶穌基督之名、命汝即離其身！』鬼出、蓄婢者見利源已絕、憤而執葆樂、西拉、扭至市集總管。

然適如昔日之有偽先知起自民間、將來爾中亦必有荒誕之師、潛播異端、陷溺人心、乃至忘恩負義、否認其贖身之主、於以自速其亡。
