I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

我说，你们当顺着圣灵而行，就不放纵肉体的情欲了。

我说，你们要顺着圣灵而行，绝不可满足肉体的情欲。

我说，你们要顺着圣灵而行，绝不可满足肉体的情欲。

因此，我劝你们行事为人要顺从圣灵的引导，这样就不会放纵罪恶本性的私欲。

我是说，你们应当顺着圣灵行事，这样就一定不会去满足肉体的私欲了。

所以我说：你们应当顺着圣灵行走，这样就绝不会去满足肉体的欲望了；

我說，你們當順着聖靈而行，就不放縱肉體的情慾了。

我說，你們要順着聖靈而行，絕不可滿足肉體的情慾。

我說，你們要順着聖靈而行，絕不可滿足肉體的情慾。

因此，我勸你們行事為人要順從聖靈的引導，這樣就不會放縱罪惡本性的私慾。

故吾謂爾當從神、毋從欲

我言爾當遵聖神而行、則不縱肉體之慾、

吾故曰：爾等亟應努力於靈修、而不可縱情恣慾也。

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

So I say, live by the Holy Spirit’s power. Then you will not do what your desires controlled by sin want you to do.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.

I say, then, walk by the Spirit and you will certainly not carry out the desire of the flesh.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

But I say, Walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

[ This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.Since we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit.

So then, brothers, we are not obligated to the flesh to live according to the flesh,for if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.All those led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons.

Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity,idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance— as I told you before— that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.Because of these, God’s wrath comes on the disobedient,and you once walked in these things when you were living in them.But now you must also put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth.Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old self with its practicesand have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator.

in order that the law’s requirement would be accomplished in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, about the things of the Spirit.

Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires that war against you.

Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy.But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.

Therefore, dear friends, since we have such promises, let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, completing our sanctification in the fear of God.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its desires.

Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.For everything that belongs to the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s lifestyle— is not from the Father, but is from the world.

We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.

These people create divisions and are unbelievers, not having the Spirit.But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit,keep yourselves in the love of God, expecting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, equip yourselves also with the same resolve— because the one who suffered in the flesh has finished with sin—in order to live the remaining time in the flesh, no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the pagans choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.So they are surprised that you don’t plunge with them into the same flood of wild living— and they slander you.

As obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires of your former ignorance.

By obedience to the truth, having purified yourselves for sincere love of the brothers, love one another earnestly from a pure heart,

And I say this: The law, which came 430 years later, does not revoke a covenant that was previously ratified by God and cancel the promise.

For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged by men in the fleshly realm, they might live by God in the spiritual realm.

You were also circumcised in Him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of the Messiah.

Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus,

And I say this, brothers: The time is limited, so from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,
