因為承受產業，若本乎律法，就不本乎應許；但神是憑着應許把產業賜給亞伯拉罕。

若云嗣業係據律法、則不復淵源於恩諾矣。然而嗣業、固天主所許於亞伯漢之恩賜也。

For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

The great gift that God has for us does not depend on the law. If it did, it would no longer depend on the promise. But God gave it to Abraham as a free gift through a promise.

For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but God gave it to Abraham by a promise.

For if the inheritance could be received by keeping the law, then it would not be the result of accepting God’s promise. But God graciously gave it to Abraham as a promise.

For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise; but God has graciously given it to Abraham through the promise.

並且不懈怠，總要效法那些憑信心和忍耐承受應許的人。當初神應許亞伯拉罕的時候，因為沒有比自己更大可以指着起誓的，就指着自己起誓，說：「論福，我必賜大福給你；論子孫，我必叫你的子孫多起來。」這樣，亞伯拉罕既恆久忍耐，就得了所應許的。

因為神應許亞伯拉罕和他後裔，必得承受世界，不是因律法，乃是因信而得的義。若是屬乎律法的人才得為後嗣，信就歸於虛空，應許也就廢棄了。因為律法是惹動忿怒的；哪裏沒有律法，那裏就沒有過犯。所以人得為後嗣是本乎信，因此就屬乎恩，叫應許定然歸給一切後裔；不但歸給那屬乎律法的，也歸給那效法亞伯拉罕之信的。

向我們列祖施憐憫，記念他的聖約－就是他對我們祖宗亞伯拉罕所起的誓－

神啊，有何神像你，赦免罪孽，饒恕你產業之餘民的罪過，不永遠懷怒，喜愛施恩？必再憐憫我們，將我們的罪孽踏在腳下，又將我們的一切罪投於深海。你必按古時起誓應許我們列祖的話，向雅各發誠實，向亞伯拉罕施慈愛。

既是兒女，便是後嗣，就是神的後嗣，和基督同作後嗣。如果我們和他一同受苦，也必和他一同得榮耀。

我不廢掉神的恩；義若是藉着律法得的，基督就是徒然死了。

所以，你們因信基督耶穌都是神的兒子。

所應許的原是向亞伯拉罕和他子孫說的。神並不是說「眾子孫」，指着許多人，乃是說「你那一個子孫」，指着一個人，就是基督。

這都因他記念他的聖言和他的僕人亞伯拉罕。

凡以行律法為本的，都是被咒詛的；因為經上記着：「凡不常照律法書上所記一切之事去行的，就被咒詛。」

你們既屬乎基督，就是亞伯拉罕的後裔，是照着應許承受產業的了。

律法原不本乎信，只說：「行這些事的，就必因此活着。」

他扶助了他的僕人以色列，為要記念亞伯拉罕和他的後裔，施憐憫直到永遠，正如從前對我們列祖所說的話。
