For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

All who depend on obeying the law are under a curse. It is written,“ May everyone who doesn’t continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law be under God’s curse.”( Deuteronomy 27:26)

不遵此律法諸言而行者、必受咒詛、眾民當應曰、阿們、

體肉體、乃與天主為仇、因不服天主之法、且不能服也、

我儕知律法所言、為律法下之人言之、以塞諸口、使舉世服罪於天主前、故無人由遵行律法、得稱義於天主前、蓋由律法可知罪耳、○

爾若以貌取人則獲罪、被律法所譴為犯法者、守全律法而犯一誡、即犯諸誡、蓋言勿淫者、亦言勿殺、則爾雖不淫而殺人、亦為犯全律法、

謂之曰、主以色列之天主如是云、凡不聽此約言者、必受咒詛、

蓋罪之償值、死也、天主恩賜乃永生、因我主耶穌基督焉、

既知人得稱義非由行律法、乃由信耶穌基督、故我儕亦信耶穌基督、欲由信基督稱義、不由行律法、蓋無人由行律法得稱義也、

蓋律法致刑、無律法則無過犯、

主必不赦之、必動忌邪之心、震怒甚烈、氣忿若燄、以攻此人、以此書所載諸禍諸禍或作諸詛下同加諸其身、塗抹其名於天下、

今日我以福與禍、置於爾前、如遵主爾天主之誡命、我今日所諭爾者、則必受福、如不遵主爾天主之誡命、離我今日所諭爾之道、從異邦之神、爾所未識者、則必受禍、

世人俱屬我、為父者屬我、為子者亦屬我、惟犯罪者必死、

又謂在左者曰、爾曹被詛者、可離我而入永火、乃為魔及其使者所備也、

昔我無律法而生、誡至、罪生而我死、是誡本為致生、反致我死、蓋罪藉誡乘機誘我、且以之殺我、如是、律法乃聖、誡亦聖、義且善也、然則善者可致我死乎、非也、乃罪藉善者使我死、以顯罪之為罪、致罪因誡愈形其惡者也、

有自視為義而藐視他人者、耶穌設喻謂之曰、二人登聖殿祈禱、一法利賽人、一稅吏、法利賽人獨立祈禱曰、感謝天主、我不似他人、強索、不義、姦淫、亦不似此稅吏、我七日禁食二日、以凡所得者、十輸其一、稅吏遠立、不敢舉目仰天、搥胸曰、天主、矜憐我罪人、

故我使聖所之祭司祭司或作牧伯受凌辱、使雅各被咒詛、使以色列受誹謗、
