In the first year of King Cyrus, the king issued a decree concerning the temple of God in Jerusalem: Let the temple be rebuilt as a place to present sacrifices, and let its foundations be laid. It is to be sixty cubits high and sixty cubits wide,

In the first year that Cyrus was king, he gave an order. It concerned God’s temple in Jerusalem. King Cyrus said, Rebuild the temple. Then the Jews can offer sacrifices there. Lay its foundations. The temple must be 90 feet high and 90 feet wide.

In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king issued a decree: Concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, let the house be rebuilt, the place where sacrifices were offered, and let its foundations be retained. Its height shall be sixty cubits and its breadth sixty cubits,

“ In the first year of King Cyrus’s reign, a decree was sent out concerning the Temple of God at Jerusalem.“ Let the Temple be rebuilt on the site where Jews used to offer their sacrifices, using the original foundations. Its height will be ninety feet, and its width will be ninety feet.

波斯王居鲁士元年，耶和华为要应验藉耶利米口所说的话，就激动波斯王居鲁士的心，使他下诏通告全国，说：“波斯王居鲁士如此说：耶和华天上的神已将天下万国赐给我，又嘱咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建造殿宇。你们中间凡作他子民的，可以上去，愿耶和华他的神与他同在。”波斯王居鲁士元年，耶和华为要应验藉耶利米口所说的话，就激动波斯王居鲁士的心，使他下诏通告全国说：“波斯王居鲁士如此说：‘耶和华天上的神已将天下万国赐给我，又嘱咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建造殿宇。在你们中间凡作他子民的，可以上犹大的耶路撒冷，在耶路撒冷重建耶和华以色列神的殿（只有他是神）。愿神与这人同在。凡剩下的人，无论寄居何处，那地的人要用金银、财物、牲畜帮助他，另外也要为耶路撒冷神的殿甘心献上礼物。’”

城是四方的，长宽一样。天使用苇子量那城，共有四千里，长、宽、高都是一样；

那时要将我所吩咐你们的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的举祭，并向耶和华许愿献的一切美祭，都奉到耶和华你们神所选择要立为他名的居所。你们和儿女、仆婢，并住在你们城里无份无业的利未人，都要在耶和华你们的神面前欢乐。你要谨慎，不可在你所看中的各处献燔祭。惟独耶和华从你那一支派中所选择的地方，你就要在那里献燔祭，行我一切所吩咐你的。

但耶和华你们的神从你们各支派中选择何处为立他名的居所，你们就当往那里去求问，将你们的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的举祭，并还愿祭、甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中头生的，都奉到那里。

天和天上的天，尚且不足他居住的，谁能为他建造殿宇呢？我是谁？能为他建造殿宇吗？不过在他面前烧香而已。

然而巴比伦王居鲁士元年，他降旨允准建造神的这殿。神殿中的金、银器皿，就是尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷的殿中掠去带到巴比伦庙里的，居鲁士王从巴比伦庙里取出来，交给派为省长的，名叫设巴萨，对他说可以将这些器皿带去，放在耶路撒冷的殿中，在原处建造神的殿。

所罗门王为耶和华所建的殿，长六十肘，宽二十肘，高三十肘。殿前的廊子长二十肘，与殿的宽窄一样，阔十肘；

这样，他量殿，长一百肘，又量空地和那房子并墙，共长一百肘。殿的前面和两旁的空地，宽一百肘。他量空地后面的那房子，并两旁的楼廊，共长一百肘。

所罗门建筑神殿的根基，乃是这样：长六十肘，宽二十肘，都按着古时的尺寸。殿前的廊子长二十肘，与殿的宽窄一样，高一百二十肘；里面贴上精金。

众支派，就是耶和华的支派，上那里去，按以色列的常例称赞耶和华的名。
