So the Israelites who had returned from the exile ate it, together with all who had separated themselves from the unclean practices of their Gentile neighbors in order to seek the Lord, the God of Israel.

昔主藉主之僕眾先知命我曰、爾往欲得之地、乃污穢地、因其地居民、行污穢可憎之事、使其四境使其四境或作全地由此邊至彼邊悉染污穢、

以色列族與異邦人絕交、立而自認己罪及列祖之愆尤、

以清水灑於爾身、使爾為潔、凡爾污穢之事、及拜偶像之邪、我悉滌除、使爾為潔、

瑪鹿、哈琳、巴拿、

主之法度、最為真實、主之殿廷、當稱聖潔、至於永遠、

有數人因近屍蒙不潔、不能於是日守逾越節、故當日至摩西亞倫前曰、我近屍蒙不潔、不得與以色列人同於所定之日期、於主獻當獻之祭、若何而可、

主曰、爾當出於其中、而自區別、勿蒙污穢、我則納爾、

以色列會眾、皆當守此禮、如有外邦人寄居爾間、欲於主前行逾越節羔之禮、必當使其諸男受割禮、然後可來行之、即與土著無異、凡未受割禮者、皆不可食、土著之人、及寄居爾間之外邦人、皆是一例、

斯後、諸牧伯就我曰、以色列民、祭司、及利未人、不絕離斯土之異族、行迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、伊及人、亞摩利人所行可憎之事、

至愛者乎、我儕既得如此之應許、則當自潔、除身心之諸污、畏天主以成聖、○

爾曹去哉、去哉、出離其地、其地即巴比倫勿捫污穢、當自其中而出、凡爾曹舁天主聖器者、當自潔其身、

爾告以色列人云、爾曹及爾後裔、如有人近屍而蒙不潔、或遠在行程、亦當於主前守逾越節、二月十四日、薄暮、當守之、食逾越節之羔、當與無酵餅及苦菜同食、毋留羔之肉至明日、毋折其骨、悉遵逾越節羔之例而行、如人身潔、亦不在行程、而不守逾越節、此人必滅絕於民中、因其於所定之日期、不於主獻所當獻之祭、此人必負罪、如外邦客旅寄居爾中、願於主前守逾越節、當遵逾越節律例禮儀而行、客旅與土著俱為一例、○
