並且呢，尼布甲尼撒王曾叫他指着上帝來起誓，他也背叛了那王；硬着脖子，心裏頑固，不歸向永恆主以色列的上帝。

請王考查王列祖的記錄，在記錄上王就會查出，知道這城是個反叛的城，對列王和各省都有損害；自古以來其中常行悖逆的事，故此這城遭受了荒廢。

耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷，你常殺害神言人，扔石頭打死奉差遣到你裏面去的人。我多少次願意聚集你的兒女，彷彿母雞把自己的小雞聚集在翅膀底下，你們卻不願意！

開始控告他說：『我們查出這個人扭轉我們民族的心，攔阻人納貢銀給該撒，並說自己是上帝所膏立者，是王。』於是彼拉多問耶穌說：『你是猶太人的王麼？』耶穌回答他說：『你說的是。』彼拉多對祭司長和羣眾說：『我查不出這人有甚麼罪狀。』他們卻越極力地說：『他鼓勵民眾，沿全猶太教訓人，從加利利起，直到這裏了。』

在我們的上帝的城中永恆主至大，當受極大的頌讚。他的聖山，美麗高聳，為全地所喜悅；大君王的城錫安山在北邊。

要禁戒各式各樣的邪惡。

因為是為了永恆主怒氣發作的緣故，事情在耶路撒冷和猶大才發展到永恆主竟丟掉他們、離開自己面前。西底家背叛了巴比倫王。

你們為主的緣故要順服人類的一切制度，或是君王為至尊的，或是統治官由君王所差派、以刑罰作惡的、讚許行善的。因為上帝的旨意是：你們要行善、來籠住糊塗人的無知無識。

你說單單嘴脣上的話便等於戰爭上的計謀和實力麼？你到底倚靠誰、才背叛我呢？

他們對我說：『那些沒有被擄的餘民在猶大省那裏遭大患難，受凌辱；耶路撒冷的城牆拆了破口，城門又被火焚燒。』

『你要對叛逆之家說：你們不知道這些事是甚麼意思麼？你要告訴他們說：看哪，巴比倫王曾經來到耶路撒冷，將其中的王和首領帶到巴比倫自己那裏。他從以色列王家後裔中取了一人，叫他發咒起誓、而跟他立約，巴王將國中有勢力的人擄去，使國低微，不能挺起，惟獨守約才得以存立。但他卻背叛了巴王，反而差遣使者往埃及去，要他們給他馬匹和許多兵丁。他哪能順利成功呢？行這樣事的人哪能逃脫呢？違反了盟約哪能逃脫呢？主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓：巴王立他做王，他竟藐視了發咒起誓的話，違反了巴王跟他所立的約；因此他一定必死在巴比倫、巴王住的地方。敵人倒土堆築了壘要剪滅許多人時，法老雖領了大軍隊大羣眾人也不能在戰陣上跟他周旋呀。他藐視了發咒起誓的話，違犯了盟約；曾經舉手起了誓，還行這一切事，他必不能逃脫。因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。我必將我的網撒在他身上，他必在我的網羅中被捉住；我要把他帶到巴比倫，在那裏判罰他對我不忠實的罪。在他全部隊中、他所有的精兵都必倒斃於刀下；剩下的必被撒於四方；你們就知道是我永恆主說了。』

我下了諭旨，人一考查，就查出這城自古以來對列王就常造反，其中常行反叛悖逆的事。

你要知道，要明白，從神諭之發出：「恢復並重建耶路撒冷」，直到有受膏之人君的時候、必有七十個七。經歷了六十二個七，耶路撒冷城必得恢復、重新建造，有廣場有濠溝，這又是在困苦時候造的。

我們查出這個人簡直是瘟疫，在普天下眾猶太人中攪動亂事，又是拿撒勒派的一個頭目。

怎麼啦！她竟變為妓女啊！從前忠信可靠的都市，充滿了公平，有公義居於其中，如今竟為兇手所住了！你的銀子變為渣滓，你的美酒用水攙雜。你的大官倔強要造反，跟盜賊作伴；個個都喜愛賄賂，追求私酬；他們不為孤兒伸冤；寡婦的案件呈不到他們面前。

當約雅敬在位的日子、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒上來，約雅敬臣服了他三年；然後掉轉背叛他。
