今當於主爾列祖之天主前認罪、遵其旨而行、絕離斯土各族、與所娶異族之女、

Now honor the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do his will. Separate yourselves from the peoples around you and from your foreign wives.”

不要效法這個世界，只要心意更新而變化，叫你們察驗何為上帝的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。

不可與他們結親；不可將你的女兒嫁給他的兒子，也不可叫你的兒子娶他的女兒。因為他必使你的兒女離棄我，去事奉別神，以致耶和華的怒氣向你們發作，迅速將你除滅。

約書亞對亞干說：「我兒，我勸你將榮耀歸給耶和華－以色列的上帝，在他面前認罪，把你所做的事告訴我，不可向我隱瞞。」

現在，我們要與我們的上帝立約，送走所有的妻子和她們所生的，照着主和那些因我們上帝誡命戰兢之人所議定的，按律法去行。

遮掩自己過犯的，必不順利；承認且離棄過犯的，必蒙憐憫。

所以主說：「你們務要從他們中間出來，跟他們分別；不要沾不潔淨的東西，我就收納你們。

我向你陳明我的罪，不隱瞞我的惡。我說：「我要向耶和華承認我的過犯」；你就赦免我的罪惡。（細拉）

我們若在光明中行走，如同上帝在光明中，就彼此有團契，他兒子耶穌的血就洗淨我們一切的罪。我們若說自己沒有罪，就是欺騙自己，真理就不在我們裏面了。我們若認自己的罪，上帝是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。

你們要洗滌、自潔，從我眼前除掉惡行；要停止作惡，學習行善，尋求公平，幫助受欺壓的，替孤兒伸冤，為寡婦辯護。」耶和華說：「來吧，我們彼此辯論。你們的罪雖像硃紅，必變成雪白；雖紅如丹顏，必白如羊毛。

只要承認你的罪孽，就是違背耶和華－你的上帝，在各青翠的樹下追逐外族的神明，沒有聽從我的話。這是耶和華說的

我們所領受的並不是世上的靈，而是從上帝來的靈，為使我們知道上帝把恩賜賞給我們的事。我們也講說這些事，不是用人的智慧所教的言語，而是用聖靈所教的言語，用屬靈的話解釋屬靈的事。然而，屬血氣的人不接受上帝的靈的事，他反倒以這為愚拙，並且他不能了解，因為這些事惟有屬靈的人才能領悟。

在各樣善事上裝備你們，使你們遵行他的旨意；又藉着耶穌基督在我們裏面行他所喜悅的事。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

這些事完成以後，眾領袖來接近我，說：「以色列百姓、祭司和利未人沒有棄絕迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人和亞摩利人等列邦民族所行可憎的事。

因為耶和華如此說：「那些謹守我的安息日，選擇我旨意，持守我約的太監，

「他們要承認自己的罪孽和祖先的罪孽，就是背叛我，行事與我作對的過犯。我也行事與他們作對，把他們遣送到敵人之地。那時，他們未受割禮的心若肯謙卑，也服了罪孽的懲罰，我就要記念我與雅各的約，記念我與以撒的約，與亞伯拉罕的約；我也要記念這地。

好使你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切善事上結果子，對上帝的認識更有長進。

以色列人聽見這律法，就與所有不同族羣的人分別出來。
