“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:“‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

“ Cyrus, the king of Persia, says,“‘ The Lord is the God of heaven. He has given me all the kingdoms on earth. He has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah.

“ Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

“ This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:“ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a Temple at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

是我实现我仆人的话语，成就我使者们的筹算；我论耶路撒冷说：‘必有人居住’，又论犹大各城说：‘必被重建，我必使它们从废墟中兴起’；是我对深渊说：‘干涸吧！我也要使流入你的江河枯干’；我论居鲁士说：‘我的牧人！他必成就我所喜悦的一切’，论耶路撒冷说：‘必被重建’，又论圣殿说：‘根基必被奠定。’”耶和华紧拉着居鲁士的右手，让列国降服在他面前，使君王们的腰带松开；又让门在他面前敞开，使城门也不关闭——耶和华对所膏立的居鲁士如此说：

耶和华如此说：“天是我的宝座，地是我的脚凳。你们要为我建造的殿宇在哪里呢？我安歇的地方在哪里呢？”

因着神所赐给他的权势，所有的民族、国家、语言群体都在他面前战兢恐惧；他想要杀谁就杀谁，想要让谁活就让谁活，想要高举谁就高举谁，想要降卑谁就降卑谁。然而，他心里高举自己，灵里变得刚硬，以致行事狂傲，就从王权的宝座上被废黜，他的尊荣也被夺去了。他从世人中被赶出，他的心变得像兽的心一样，他的住处与野驴在一起，他像牛那样吃牧草，身体被天上的露水湿透，直到他明白：至高神在人的国中掌权，愿意立谁就立谁治理国家。

王啊，你是王中之王！天上的神把国度、权能、力量和尊荣都赐给了你，也把世人、田野的走兽、天空的飞鸟，无论住在哪里，都交在你的手中，让你统辖这一切；你就是那金的头。

你必从人间被赶出，你的住处必与田野的走兽在一起；你必像牛那样吃牧草，让七个时期从你流过，直到你明白：至高者在人的国中掌权，他愿意把国赐给谁就赐给谁。”

是他改变时势和时期；是他废王、立王；是他赐智慧给智慧人，赐知识给有悟性的人；

反而对天上的主高举自己，让人把他殿中的器皿带到你面前来，你和你的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们都用这些来喝酒；你称赞那些不能看、不能听、不能知——用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神明，却不尊崇那位掌握你的气息、掌握你一切道路的神。

你必从人间被赶出，你的住处必与田野的走兽在一起；你必像牛那样吃牧草，被天上的露水湿透，让七个时期从你流过，直到你明白：至高者在人的国中掌权，他愿意把国赐给谁就赐给谁。

然而天上有一位神，就是显明奥秘的那一位，他已经使尼布甲尼撒王明白了末后的日子将要发生的事——这就是你在床上所做的梦和脑海中的异象。
