He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his idol? For they are saying,‘ The LORD does not see us. The LORD has abandoned the land.’”

祂又对我说：“人子啊，你看见以色列的长老在自己藏神像的房间里暗中所做的了吗？他们说，‘耶和华看不见我们，祂已经抛弃了这片土地。’”

他对我说：“人子啊！以色列家的众长老各在自己偶像的房间里暗中所行的，你看见了吗？他们说：‘耶和华看不见我们，耶和华已经离开这地了。’”

他對我說：「人子啊，以色列家的長老暗中在各人畫像屋裏所行的，你看見了嗎？他們常說：『耶和華看不見我們；耶和華已經離棄這地。』」

他對我說：「人子啊，你看見以色列家的長老，暗中在自己偶像的房間裏所做的嗎？因為他們說：『耶和華看不見我們；耶和華已經離棄這地。』」

他對我說：「人子啊，你看見以色列家的長老，暗中在自己偶像的房間裏所做的嗎？因為他們說：『耶和華看不見我們；耶和華已經離棄這地。』」

祂又對我說：「人子啊，你看見以色列的長老在自己藏神像的房間裡暗中所做的了嗎？他們說，『耶和華看不見我們，祂已經拋棄了這片土地。』」

他對我說：“人子啊！以色列家的眾長老各在自己偶像的房間裡暗中所行的，你看見了嗎？他們說：‘耶和華看不見我們，耶和華已經離開這地了。’”

他對我說：『人子啊，以色列家的長老各在自己鏨像的屋裏暗中所行的、你看見了沒有？他們常說：「永恆主看不見我們；永恆主已經離棄了這地了。」』

彼諭我曰、人子歟、以色列家長老、各在暗中、繪像之室所行、爾見之乎、彼謂耶和華不見我、耶和華已棄斯土矣、

主諭我曰、人子盍觀以色列族長老、暗室所為、咸入偶像之所、自謂耶和華不加鑒察、耶和華已遐棄斯民。

主諭我曰、人子、以色列族之長老各在暗中、即在其繪像之室中所為、爾觀之乎、彼意謂主不見我、主已離棄斯地、

He said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? They say,‘ The Lord does not see us; the Lord has forsaken the land.’”

The Lord spoke to me. He said,“ Son of man, do you see what the elders of Israel are doing in the dark? Each of them is in his own room worshiping his own god. They say,‘ The Lord doesn’t see us. He has deserted the land.’ ”

Then he said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, each in his room of pictures? For they say,‘ The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.’”

Then the Lord said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the leaders of Israel are doing with their idols in dark rooms? They are saying,‘ The Lord doesn’t see us; he has deserted our land!’”

Then He said to me,“ Do you see, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, each man in the rooms of his carved images? For they say,‘ The Lord does not see us; the Lord has abandoned the land.’ ”

Then He said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say,‘ The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.’”

Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his chambers of imagery? for they say, Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.

Then He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his idol? For they are saying,‘ The Lord does not see us. The Lord has abandoned the land.’”

Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

He said to me,“ Do you see, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, each in the chamber of his idolatrous images? For they think,‘ The LORD does not see us! The LORD has abandoned the land!’”

Then he said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his rooms of imagery? For they say,‘ Yahweh doesn’t see us. Yahweh has forsaken the land.’”

He answered me,“ The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is extremely great; the land is full of bloodshed, and the city full of perversity. For they say,‘ The LORD has abandoned the land; he does not see.’

Woe to those who go to great lengths to hide their plans from the LORD. They do their works in the dark, and say,“ Who sees us? Who knows us?”

For it is shameful even to mention what is done by them in secret.

And he said to me,“ Do you see this, son of man? You will see even more detestable acts than these.”

This is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.For everyone who does evil hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed.

He says to himself,“ God has forgotten; he hides his face and will never see.”

The wicked are those who rebel against the light. They do not recognize its ways or stay on its paths.The murderer rises at dawn to kill the poor and needy, and by night he becomes a thief.The adulterer’s eye watches for twilight, thinking,“ No eye will see me,” and he covers his face.In the dark they break into houses; by day they lock themselves in, never experiencing the light.For the morning is like darkness to them. Surely they are familiar with the terrors of darkness!

The wicked say,“ How can God know? Does the Most High know everything?”

Isn’t God as high as the heavens? And look at the highest stars— how lofty they are!Yet you say,“ What does God know? Can he judge through total darkness?

Seventy elders from the house of Israel were standing before them, with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing among them. Each had a firepan in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising up.

They say,“ The LORD doesn’t see it. The God of Jacob doesn’t pay attention.”Pay attention, you stupid people! Fools, when will you be wise?Can the one who shaped the ear not hear, the one who formed the eye not see?The one who instructs nations, the one who teaches mankind knowledge— does he not discipline?

And he said to me,“ Do you see this, son of man? Is it not enough for the house of Judah to commit the detestable acts they are doing here, that they must also fill the land with violence and repeatedly anger me, even putting the branch to their nose?

In the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, some of Israel’s elders came to inquire of the LORD, and they sat down in front of me.

Some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat down in front of me.

He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what they are doing here— more detestable acts that the house of Israel is committing— so that I must depart from my sanctuary? You will see even more detestable acts.”Then he brought me to the entrance of the court, and when I looked there was a hole in the wall.He said to me,“ Son of man, dig through the wall.” So I dug through the wall and discovered a doorway.
