我既怒斯眾、雖吹角使戰、無人臨陣、

彼雖吹角、預備已全、已全或作以戰而無人出戰、因我怒及其眾、

“‘ They have blown the trumpet, they have made all things ready, but no one will go into battle, for my wrath is on the whole crowd.

They have blown trumpets. They have made everything ready. But no one will go into battle. I will soon pour out my great anger on the whole crowd.

Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness. None of them will remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth. There will be nothing of value among them.The time has come! The day draws near. Don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Behold, my anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man, on animal, on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and will not be quenched.”

Therefore I am full of Yahweh’s wrath. I am weary with holding it in.“ Pour it out on the children in the street, and on the assembly of young men together; for even the husband with the wife will be taken, the aged with him who is full of days.

“ Set up a standard in the land! Blow the trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations against her! Call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz! Appoint a marshal against her! Cause the horses to come up as the rough canker worm!

“ Flee for safety, you children of Benjamin, out of the middle of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet in Tekoa and raise up a signal on Beth Haccherem, for evil looks out from the north with a great destruction.

Behold, Yahweh makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for Yahweh has spoken this word.The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell therein are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry- hearted sigh.

Destroyers have come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Yahweh devours from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land. No flesh has peace.
