“ The seven days of the feast begin on the 15th day of the seventh month. During those days the prince must provide the same sin offerings, burnt offerings, grain offerings and olive oil.”

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month[ shall be] the feast of tabernacles[ for] seven days unto the LORD.On the first day[ shall be] an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work[ therein].Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it[ is] a solemn assembly;[ and] ye shall do no servile work[ therein].These[ are] the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim[ to be] holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day[ shall be] a sabbath, and on the eighth day[ shall be] a sabbath.And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year.[ It shall be] a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I[ am] the LORD your God.

Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which[ was] in the seventh month.

Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that[ are] within thy gates.Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.

And it shall come to pass,[ that] every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.And it shall be,[ that] whoso will not come up of[ all] the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that[ have] no[ rain]; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as[ it is] written.So the people went forth, and brought[ them], and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day[ was] a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

In the last day, that great[ day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.( But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet[ given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.

Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
