雖則他們也曾安置了他們的門檻靠近我的門檻，豎立了他們的門框挨着我的門框，以致他們跟我之間不過一牆之隔；雖則他們也行了可厭惡的事、來玷污我的聖名，以致我氣忿忿地消滅他們。

使他们的门槛挨近我的门槛，他们的门框挨近我的门框；他们与我中间仅隔一墙，并且行可憎的事，玷污了我的圣名，所以我发怒灭绝他们。

When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger.

The people of Israel placed their own doorway next to my holy doorway. They put their doorposts right beside mine. Nothing but a thin wall separated us. They treated my name as if it were not holy. I hated it when they did that. So I became angry with them and destroyed them.

by setting their threshold by my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them. They have defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed, so I have consumed them in my anger.

They put their idol altars right next to mine with only a wall between them and me. They defiled my holy name by such detestable sin, so I consumed them in my anger.

故此主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你既用你一切可憎之像和你一切可厭惡的事來污瀆我的聖所，我就一定要將你剪除；我眼必不顧惜你，我必不可憐你。

他又將他所做雕塑物的像立在上帝殿中；這殿卻是永恆主曾對大衛和大衛兒子所羅門指着說：『是在這殿並在我從以色列眾族派中所選擇的耶路撒冷、我要立我的名到永遠的。

你們把我的食物、脂肪和血、供獻的時候，還將心沒受割禮、肉身沒受割禮、的外人、帶進我的聖地，來玷污它，玷污我的殿；你們又違犯了我的約，在你們一切可厭惡的事上、加上這一層。

他竟又在永恆主殿中為外人的神築了祭壇；這殿是永恆主曾指着說：『我的名必永遠在耶路撒冷』的。

他伸出彷彿一隻手的模樣，把我頭上的一綹頭髮抓住；靈就把我舉起到天與地之間，在上帝的異象中將我帶到耶路撒冷朝北的內院大門口；在那裏有觸動主妒憤的雕像的龕座，這像就是惹動主妒憤的。我見在那裏有以色列之上帝的榮耀，像我在平原所見的異象一樣。上帝對我說：『人子啊，你舉目向北。』我就舉目向北，便見祭壇門北邊，出入處那裏有這惹主妒憤的雕像！他又對我說：『人子啊，他們所行的、以色列家在這裏所行的、這大可厭惡的事、要使我遠離我的聖所的事、你看見了沒有？你還要看見另有大可厭惡的事呢。』他領我到院子的門口；我一看，只見牆上有個窟窿。他對我說：『人子啊，你要挖牆』；我一挖通了牆，就見有個門。他對我說：『你進去，看他們在這裏所行可厭惡的壞事。』我進去一看，只見四圍牆上盡畫着各模各樣的爬物、和可憎厭的走獸、跟以色列家的各樣偶像。站在這些像面前的有以色列家的長老七十個人，沙番的兒子雅撒尼亞也站在他們中間；各人手裏都拿着他的香爐；煙雲的香氣直往上騰。他對我說：『人子啊，以色列家的長老各在自己鏨像的屋裏暗中所行的、你看見了沒有？他們常說：「永恆主看不見我們；永恆主已經離棄了這地了。」』他又對我說：『你還要看見另有大可厭惡的事、就是他們所在行的。』他領我到永恆主之殿的外院朝北的大門路那裏；便見在那裏有婦女們坐着，為搭模斯哭泣。他對我說：『人子啊，你看見了沒有？你還要看見比這些更可厭惡的事呢。』他又領我到永恆主之殿的內院；只見在永恆主殿堂的門口，廊子與祭壇之間、約有二十五個人、背向着永恆主的殿堂，面向着東方，向東拜着日頭。

他竟又在永恆主殿中為外族的神築了祭壇；這殿就是永恆主曾指着說：『我必立我名在耶路撒冷』的。瑪拿西在永恆主之殿的兩院中為天上的萬象築了祭壇。並將他的兒子用火燒獻為祭，又算命，又觀兆頭，又行交鬼的事和巫術；多行永恆主所看為壞的事、而惹他發怒。又將他所造的亞舍拉神木的雕像立在聖殿中；這殿卻是永恆主曾對大衛和大衛兒子所羅門指着說：『是在這殿、並在我從以色列眾族派中所選擇的耶路撒冷、我要立我的名到永遠的。

他又將永恆主面前的銅祭壇、從殿的前面、從新壇與永恆主的殿之間、搬去放在新壇北邊。亞哈斯王便吩咐祭司烏利亞說：『早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭、王的燔祭和素祭、國中之民的燔祭素祭和奠祭、都要燻在大祭壇上；燔祭牲所有的血和平安祭牲的血也都要潑在這壇上；只是銅祭壇卻要給我做求問的用處。』

她們宰殺了兒女、獻給她們的偶像，就在這同一日、他們又進了我的聖所，將聖所褻瀆了。你看，他們這樣行，又是在我殿中行的。

他又把猶大諸王獻給日頭的馬廢去，那些馬是在進永恆主之殿的地方，近內侍拿丹米勒的房屋，在聖殿遊廊的廂房那裏；他並且用火將獻給日頭的車燒掉。猶大諸王在亞哈斯房頂屋子的房頂上所築的祭壇、和瑪拿西在永恆主之殿的兩院中所築的祭壇、王都拆毁，從那裏搬走，把灰倒在汲淪谿谷中。
