『你們、是地上的鹽。鹽若失了味，要用甚麼使它再鹹呢？那就不再有甚麼用處，只好丟在外面，給人踐踏罷了。

永恆主以色列的上帝曾立了鹽的約，將國權賜給大衛，給他和他子孫，來管理以色列到永遠，你們不知道麼？
