He said to me,“ The room facing south is for the priests who guard the temple,

And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house;

Then the man said to me:“ This chamber that faces south is for the priests who keep charge of the temple.

And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect[ is] toward the south,[ is] for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house.

He said to me,“ This chamber which faces south is for the priests who keep charge of the temple,

He said to me,“ This room, which faces toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the duty of the house.

他们每日早晚向耶和华献燔祭，焚烧芬芳的香；在清洁的桌子上摆上陈设饼；每天晚上燃点金灯台的灯盏；我们谨守耶和华我们的神的吩咐，你们却离弃了他。

亚伦祭司的儿子以利亚撒要作利未人众领袖中的领袖，要监察那些尽看守圣所职分的人。

属哥辖的，有暗兰家族、以斯哈家族、希伯伦家族和乌薛家族；这是哥辖人的家族。根据所有男丁的数目，一个月及以上的，共有八千六百人；他们要尽看守圣所的职分。

亚伦和他的子孙，却在燔祭坛上和香坛上，献祭烧香，作至圣所里的各种工作，为以色列人赎罪，是完全照着神的仆人摩西所吩咐的。

提摩太啊，你要保守所交托你的，避免世俗的空谈和冒称是知识的那种反调；

在帐幕前面东边，就是在会幕前向日出的方向安营的，是摩西、亚伦和亚伦的儿子；他们代替以色列人应尽的职责，看守圣所；外人近前来，必被治死。

你们要看守圣所和祭坛，免得震怒再临到以色列人。

万军之耶和华说：“这样，你们就知道是我把这命令给你们，使我与利未所立的约得以存留。我与他所立的是生命和平安的约，也把这些赐给了他。我要使他敬畏我，又畏惧我的名。在他的口中有真理的教训，在他的嘴里也没有不义；他以平安和正直与我同行，使许多人回头离开罪孽。”祭司的嘴当保存知识，人要从他的口中寻求教训，因为他是万军耶和华的使者。
