Then take an iron pan, place it as an iron wall between you and the city and turn your face toward it. It will be under siege, and you shall besiege it. This will be a sign to the people of Israel.

耶和華說：「我僕人以賽亞已經裸身赤足行走三年，作為懲罰埃及和古實的標記和預兆。

以西結做的事都是你們的預兆，你們也將做他做的。當這事發生時，你們就知道我是主耶和華了。』「人子啊，有一天我要奪去他們所喜悅、所誇耀、眼中所愛、心裡所慕的堡壘，也要奪去他們的兒女。那日，倖存的人必來告訴你這個消息。那時，你必開口向那人說話，不再沉默。你必成為他們的預兆，他們就知道我是耶和華。」

希緬給他們祝福後，就對孩子的母親瑪麗亞說：「看啊，這孩子必使以色列許多人跌倒、許多人興起。祂將成為眾人攻擊的對象，

同時，上帝按自己的旨意，用神蹟、奇事、各樣的異能、聖靈的恩賜和他們一同做見證。
