你要對他們這樣說，主耶和華如此說：我指着我的永生起誓，在廢墟的，必倒在刀下；在田野的，必交給野獸吞吃；在堡壘和洞中的，必遭瘟疫而死。

當告之曰、主耶和華云、我指己生而誓、居荒蕪之處者、必仆於刃、居田野者、我必付之於獸噬之、居保障及巖穴者、必斃於疫癘、

爾先知當告之云、主耶和華曰、我指己而誓、維彼眾民、居於邱墟、必亡於刃、處於郊野、必噬於獸、藏於城垣巖穴、必斃於疫癘、

爾以西結當如是告之曰、主天主如是云、我指己永生而誓、惟彼居荒墟者、必殞亡於刃、凡在郊野者、我必使之為獸所食、凡在鞏固之城及洞穴者、必死於疫癘、

“ Say this to them:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, those who are left in the ruins will fall by the sword, those out in the country I will give to the wild animals to be devoured, and those in strongholds and caves will die of a plague.

“ Tell them,‘ Here is what the Lord and King says.“ The people who are left in those broken- down buildings will be killed by swords. Wild animals will eat up those who are out in the country. Those who are in caves and other safe places will die of a plague. And that is just as sure as I am alive.

Say this to them, Thus says the Lord God: As I live, surely those who are in the waste places shall fall by the sword, and whoever is in the open field I will give to the beasts to be devoured, and those who are in strongholds and in caves shall die by pestilence.

“ Say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, those living in the ruins will die by the sword. And I will send wild animals to eat those living in the open fields. Those hiding in the forts and caves will die of disease.

“ Tell them this:‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: As surely as I live, those who are in the ruins will fall by the sword, those in the open field I have given to wild animals to be devoured, and those in the strongholds and caves will die by plague.

You shall say this to them:‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ As I live, those who are in the places of ruins certainly will fall by the sword, and whoever is in the open field I will give to the animals to be devoured, and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves will die of plague.

“ Say thus to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ As I live, surely those who are in the ruins shall fall by the sword, and the one who is in the open field I will give to the beasts to be devoured, and those who are in the strongholds and caves shall die of the pestilence.

Thus shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: As I live, surely they that are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured; and they that are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

“ Tell them this: This is what the Lord God says: As surely as I live, those who are in the ruins will fall by the sword, those in the open field I have given to wild animals to be devoured, and those in the strongholds and caves will die by plague.

Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD;[ As] I live, surely they that[ are] in the wastes shall fall by the sword, and him that[ is] in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that[ be] in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

“ This is what you must say to them,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: As surely as I live, those living in the ruins will die by the sword, those in the open field I will give to the wild beasts for food, and those who are in the strongholds and caves will die of disease.

“ You shall tell them,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ As I live, surely those who are in the waste places will fall by the sword. I will give he who is in the open field to the animals to be devoured; and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves will die of the pestilence.

現在你們要確實知道，你們在所要去的寄居之地必遭刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫而死。」

以色列人見自己危急，軍隊被圍攻，百姓就藏在山洞、叢林、巖隙、地窖和深坑中。

你和你的全軍，並跟隨你的列國的人，都必倒在以色列的羣山上。我要將你給各類攫食的飛鳥和野地的走獸作食物。

以實瑪利把那些因基大利事件所殺之人的屍首都丟在坑裏；這坑是從前亞撒王因怕以色列王巴沙所挖的。尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利把那些被殺的人填滿了坑。

「主耶和華如此說：你當擊掌頓足，說：哀哉！以色列家做了這一切可憎的惡事，必仆倒在刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫之下。在遠方的，必遭瘟疫而死；在近處的，必倒在刀劍之下；那存留被圍困的，必因饑荒而死；我要在他們身上發盡我的憤怒。被殺的要仆倒在祭壇四圍的偶像中，在各高岡、各山頂、各青翠的樹下，和各茂密的橡樹下，就是他們獻馨香的祭給一切偶像的地方。那時，他們就知道我是耶和華。我必伸手攻擊他們，使他們的地荒廢，從第伯拉他的曠野起，一切的住處都荒涼。他們就知道我是耶和華。」

你的百姓三分之一必遭瘟疫而死，因饑荒在你們中間而消滅；三分之一必在你四圍倒在刀下；我必將三分之一分散四方，要拔刀追趕他們。「我要這樣發盡我的怒氣；我向他們發的憤怒停止以後，自己就得到平息。當我向他們發盡我的憤怒時，他們就知道我－耶和華所說的是出於妒忌。在四圍的列國中，我要使你成為荒涼，在所有過路人的眼前看為羞辱。這樣，我必以怒氣、憤怒和烈怒的責備，向你施行審判。那時，它就在四圍的列國中成為羞辱、譏刺、警戒、驚駭；這是我－耶和華說的。我向滅亡的人射出饑荒的惡箭，將它們射出，毀滅你們；那時，我要加重你們的饑荒，斷絕你們糧食的供應。我要令饑荒和惡獸臨到你，使你喪失兒女。瘟疫和流血的事必在你那裏盛行，我也要使刀劍臨到你。這是我－耶和華說的。」

大衛離開那裏，逃到亞杜蘭洞。他的兄弟和他父親全家聽見了，都下到他那裏去。

大衛住在曠野的山寨裏，在西弗曠野的山區。掃羅天天尋索大衛，神卻不將大衛交在他手裏。

耶和華興起使地大震動的時候，人就進入石洞和土穴裏，躲避耶和華的驚嚇和他威嚴的榮光。

到了路旁的羊圈，在那裏有個洞，掃羅進去大解。大衛和他的人正藏在洞裏的深處。

米甸的手戰勝以色列；以色列人躲避米甸人，就在山中挖洞穴，挖洞建營寨。

「人子啊，住在以色列荒廢之地的人說：『亞伯拉罕一人能得這地為業，我們人數眾多，這地更是給我們為業的。』

我必使那定意進入埃及地、在那裏寄居的，就是倖存的猶大人，盡都滅絕。他們必在埃及地仆倒，因刀劍饑荒滅絕，從最小的到最大的都必遭刀劍饑荒而死，甚至受辱罵、驚駭、詛咒、羞辱。

他們若問你說：『我們往哪裏去呢？』你就告訴他們，耶和華如此說：『定為死亡的，必致死亡；定為刀殺的，必被刀殺；定為饑荒的，必遭饑荒；定為擄掠的，必被擄掠。』」「我命定四樣災害臨到他們，就是刀劍殺戮、羣狗拖拉、空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸吞吃毀滅。這是耶和華說的。我必使地上萬國因他們而驚駭，都因希西家的兒子猶大王瑪拿西在耶路撒冷所做的事。」
