If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it.

义人转离他的义而作罪孽，就必因此死亡。

义人转离自己的义作恶，他必因此而死亡。

义人转离自己的义作恶，他必因此而死亡。

义人离义行恶，必因恶行而死亡。

义人若离开他的义，去行恶事，他就必因此死亡；

義人轉離他的義而作罪孽，就必因此死亡。

義人轉離自己的義作惡，他必因此而死亡。

義人離義行惡，必因惡行而死亡。

義人若離開他的義，去行惡事，他就必因此死亡；

義人若轉離他的義行，而行不公道的事，他就必因此而死亡。

義人轉離其義而行惡、必死於其中、

善人去善作惡、則因其所為、置諸死地、

善人離善作惡、遂因此而死、

Suppose a godly person stops doing what is right. And they do what is evil. Then they will die because of it.

When the righteous turns from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it.

For again I say, when righteous people turn away from their righteous behavior and turn to evil, they will die.

When a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, he will die for it.

When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, then he shall die in it.

The righteous person who sins will not be allowed to live even though they were formerly righteous.’If I tell a righteous person that they will surely live, but then they trust in their righteousness and do evil, none of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered; they will die for the evil they have done.

If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.Of them the proverbs are true:“ A dog returns to its vomit,” and,“ A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”

And,“ But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”

If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it; because of the sin they have committed they will die.But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.

“ Again, when a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before them, they will die. Since you did not warn them, they will die for their sin. The righteous things that person did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.
