Tell them,‘“ As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?”’

你要对他们说：‘主耶和华这样宣告：我指着我的永生起誓，我绝不喜悦恶人死亡，却喜悦恶人离开他所行的，得以存活。以色列家啊，回转吧！离开你们所行的，何必死亡呢？’

你對他們說，主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我斷不喜悅惡人死亡，惟喜悅惡人轉離所行的道而活。以色列家啊，你們轉回，轉回吧！離開惡道，何必死亡呢？

你要對他們說：主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓：我絕不喜悅惡人死亡；我乃是喜歡惡人回轉離開他的行徑以得活着。回轉吧！回轉！離開你們的壞行徑哦！何必死亡呢、以色列家啊？

爾告之曰、主耶和華云、我指己生而誓、惡人死亡、我所不悅、惟悅惡人轉離其道、而得生存、以色列家乎、爾其回轉、回轉、離爾惡途、何為自取死亡、

然主耶和華曰、我指己而誓、我不以人作惡致死為悅、惟以人悛惡得生為悅、故爾以色列家當改厥惡、何必蹈於死亡、

爾告之曰、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、我不以惡人死亡為悅、惟以惡人悛改其惡行、而得生存為悅、以色列族歟、悛改、悛改、離爾惡行、何為自取死亡、○

Say to them,‘ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’

Tell them,‘ When sinful people die, it does not give me any joy. But when they turn away from their sins and live, that makes me very happy. And that is just as sure as I am alive,’ announces the Lord and King.‘ So turn away from your sins! Change your evil ways! Why should you die, people of Israel?’

Say to them, As I live, declares the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?

As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die?

Tell them,‘ As I live— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD— I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live. Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel?’

Say to them,‘ As I live!’ declares the Lord God,‘ I take no pleasure at all in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then should you die, house of Israel?’

Say to them:‘ As I live,’ says the Lord GOD,‘ I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord Yahweh;“ and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.

The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

“ Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways,” says the Lord Yahweh.“ Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity will not be your ruin.Cast away from you all your transgressions, in which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, house of Israel?For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord Yahweh.“ Therefore turn yourselves, and live!

“ Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,

Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen because of your sin.

Return, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backsliding.“ Behold, we have come to you; for you are Yahweh our God.

“ He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.The son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’“ But the father said to his servants,‘ Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet.Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s eat, and celebrate;for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’ Then they began to celebrate.“ Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.He called one of the servants to him, and asked what was going on.He said to him,‘ Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and healthy.’But he was angry, and would not go in. Therefore his father came out, and begged him.But he answered his father,‘ Behold, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed a commandment of yours, but you never gave me a goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.But when this your son came, who has devoured your living with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’“ He said to him,‘ Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.But it was appropriate to celebrate and be glad, for this, your brother, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found.’”

For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men.

“ How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.

“ Therefore tell the house of Israel,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil has come on us. Yet we have not entreated the favor of Yahweh our God, that we should turn from our iniquities and have discernment in your truth.

Therefore as I live,’ says the Lord Yahweh,‘ surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things, and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you. My eye won’t spare, and I will have no pity.

But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.”

For we must die, and are like water spilled on the ground, which can’t be gathered up again; neither does God take away life, but devises means, that he who is banished not be an outcast from him.

but in very deed— as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with Yahweh’s glory—

“ I have surely heard Ephraim grieving thus,‘ You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf. Turn me, and I will be turned; for you are Yahweh my God.Surely after that I was turned. I repented. After that I was instructed. I struck my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.’Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I still earnestly remember him. therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy on him,” says Yahweh.

Turn at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you. I will make known my words to you.

but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

Lift up your eyes all around, and see: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live,” says Yahweh,“ you shall surely clothe yourself with them all as with an ornament, and dress yourself with them, like a bride.

“ As I live,” says the King, whose name is Yahweh of Armies,“ surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so he will come.

though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They only would be delivered, but the land would be desolate.“ Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say,‘ Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off from it man and animal;’though these three men were in it, as I live,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only would be delivered themselves.

Tell them,‘ As I live, says Yahweh, surely as you have spoken in my ears, so I will do to you.

“ As I live,” says Yahweh,“ though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, yet would I pluck you from there.

For it is written,“‘ As I live,’ says the Lord,‘ to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.’”

As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters.

Therefore as I live, says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, surely Moab will be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, a possession of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation. The remnant of my people will plunder them, and the survivors of my nation will inherit them.
