From within the realm of the dead the mighty leaders will say of Egypt and her allies,‘ They have come down and they lie with the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword.’

The mighty leaders who are already in the place of the dead will talk about Egypt. They will also speak about the nations that were going to help it. They will say,‘ They have come down here. They are lying down with those who had not been circumcised. They are here with those who were killed by swords.’

The mighty chiefs shall speak of them, with their helpers, out of the midst of Sheol:‘ They have come down, they lie still, the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’

Down in the grave mighty leaders will mockingly welcome Egypt and its allies, saying,‘ They have come down; they lie among the outcasts, hordes slaughtered by the sword.’

Warrior leaders will speak from the middle of Sheol about him and his allies:‘ They have come down; the uncircumcised lie slain by the sword.’

The strong among the mighty Shall speak to him out of the midst of hell With those who help him:‘ They have gone down, They lie with the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’

The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie still, even the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

Warrior leaders will speak from the middle of Sheol about him and his allies: They have come down; the uncircumcised lie slain by the sword.

The bravest of the warriors will speak to him from the midst of Sheol along with his allies, saying:‘ The uncircumcised have come down; they lie still, killed by the sword.’

The strong among the mighty will speak to him out of the middle of Sheol with those who help him. They have gone down. The uncircumcised lie still, slain by the sword.

Sheol below is excited about you, to meet you when you come; It stirs the spirits of the dead for you, all the leaders of the earth; It raises all the kings of the nations from their thrones.They will all respond and say to you,‘ Even you have become weak as we, You have become like us.

Nor do they lie beside the fallen heroes of the uncircumcised, who went down to Sheol with their weapons of war and whose swords were placed under their heads; but the punishment for their wrongdoing rested on their bones, though the terror of these heroes was once in the land of the living.

The wicked is thrust down by his own wrongdoing, But the righteous has a refuge when he dies.

And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and* saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms.And he cried out and said,‘ Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’

The strong man will become like flax fiber, And his work a spark. So they shall both burn together And there will be no one to extinguish them.

But if the Lord brings about an entirely new thing and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them with everything that is theirs, and they descend alive into Sheol, then you will know that these men have been disrespectful to the Lord.”And as he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split open;and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, their households, and all the people who belonged to Korah with all their possessions.So they and all that belonged to them went down alive to Sheol; and the earth closed over them, and they perished from the midst of the assembly.Then all Israel who were around them fled at their outcry, for they said,“ The earth might swallow us!”

The wicked will return to Sheol, All the nations who forget God.

May death come deceitfully upon them; May they go down alive to Sheol, For evil is in their dwelling, in their midst.

“ Elam is there and all her hordes around her grave; all of them killed, fallen by the sword, who went down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth, who inflicted their terror on the land of the living, and bore their disgrace with those who go down to the pit.They have made a bed for her among the slain with all her hordes. Her graves are around it, they are all uncircumcised, killed by the sword( although their terror was inflicted on the land of the living), and they bore their disgrace with those who go down to the pit; they were put in the midst of the slain.

‘ Whom do you surpass in beauty? Go down and make your bed with the uncircumcised.’
