They too, like the great cedar, had gone down to the realm of the dead, to those killed by the sword, along with the armed men who lived in its shade among the nations.

Others also went down along with the cedar tree into the place of the dead. They included those who had been killed by swords. They also included the armed men among the nations who lived in its shade.

They also went down to Sheol with it, to those who are slain by the sword; yes, those who were its arm, who lived under its shadow among the nations.

Its allies, too, were all destroyed and had passed away. They had gone down to the grave— all those nations that had lived in its shade.

They too descended with it to Sheol, to those slain by the sword. As its allies they had lived in its shade among the nations.

亞述王曾如黎巴嫩中的香柏樹，枝條榮美，影密如林，極其高大，樹尖插入雲中。

其次是利未人巴尼的兒子利宏修造。其次是管理基伊拉一半、哈沙比雅為他所管的本境修造。其次是利未人弟兄中管理基伊拉那一半、希拿達的兒子巴瓦伊修造。

那樹漸長，而且堅固，高得頂天，從地極都能看見，葉子華美，果子甚多，可作眾生的食物；田野的走獸臥在蔭下，天空的飛鳥宿在枝上；凡有血氣的都從這樹得食。

耶和華如此說：扶助埃及的也必傾倒。埃及因勢力而有的驕傲必降低微；其中的人民，從色弗尼塔起必倒在刀下。這是主耶和華說的。埃及地在荒涼的國中必成為荒涼；埃及城在荒廢的城中也變為荒廢。我在埃及中使火着起；幫助埃及的，都被滅絕。那時，他們就知道我是耶和華。

「人子啊，我已打折埃及王法老的膀臂；沒有敷藥，也沒有用布纏好，使他有力持刀。所以主耶和華如此說：看哪，我與埃及王法老為敵，必將他有力的膀臂和已打折的膀臂全行打斷，使刀從他手中墜落。我必將埃及人分散在列國，四散在列邦。我必使巴比倫王的膀臂有力，將我的刀交在他手中；卻要打斷法老的膀臂，他就在巴比倫王面前唉哼，如同受死傷的人一樣。我必扶持巴比倫王的膀臂，法老的膀臂卻要下垂；我將我的刀交在巴比倫王手中，他必舉刀攻擊埃及地，他們就知道我是耶和華。

耶和華的受膏者好比我們鼻中的氣，在他們的坑中被捉住；我們曾論到他說：我們必在他蔭下，在列國中存活。

你下到陰間，陰間就因你震動來迎接你，又因你驚動在世曾為首領的陰魂，並使那曾為列國君王的，都離位站起。

但種上以後，就長起來，比各樣的菜都大，又長出大枝來，甚至天上的飛鳥可以宿在它的蔭下。」
