好使水旁的诸树不因高大而自尊，也不将树尖插入云中，并且那些得水滋润、有势力的，也不得高大自立。因为它们在世人中，和下坑的人都被交与死亡，到阴府去了。”

都為的是要使水旁的眾樹、樹身都不高聳，不將其樹梢挺立入於雲霄間，只要使凡所有得水滋潤的樹都不屹立於高聳中；因為他們都被交於死亡，交於地府之最低處、在人類中間、到那些下冥坑的人那裏。

使水濱諸木、不誇其崇高、其杪不入雲中、得灌溉之強者、不復聳立、俱必死亡、偃於下土、至歸墓之人中、○

使天下林木、植於水旁、勿誇其株高幹偉、枝葉蓁蓁、喬木森然、終必枯萎、偃於下土、與人之歸墓無異、

使水旁之諸樹、不復高大、不復枝葉茂盛、巔頂崇高、不復因崇高、使彼得灌溉之群樹、立於四周、因俱必枯而死、偃於地之深處、與人之下墓無異、

Therefore no other trees by the waters are ever to tower proudly on high, lifting their tops above the thick foliage. No other trees so well- watered are ever to reach such a height; they are all destined for death, for the earth below, among mortals who go down to the realm of the dead.

So trees that receive plenty of water must never grow so high that it makes them proud. Their tops must never be above the rest of the leaves. No other trees that receive a lot of water must ever grow that high. They are appointed to die and go down into the earth below. They will join human beings, who go down to the place of the dead.”

All this is in order that no trees by the waters may grow to towering height or set their tops among the clouds, and that no trees that drink water may reach up to them in height. For they are all given over to death, to the world below, among the children of man, with those who go down to the pit.

Let the tree of no other nation proudly exult in its own prosperity, though it be higher than the clouds and it be watered from the depths. For all are doomed to die, to go down to the depths of the earth. They will land in the pit along with everyone else on earth.

This happened so that no trees planted beside water would become great in height and set their tops among the clouds, and so that no other well-watered trees would reach them in height. For they have all been consigned to death, to the underworld, among the people who descend to the Pit.

so that all the trees by the waters will not be exalted in their stature, nor put their tops among the clouds, nor will any of their well watered mighty ones stand straight in their height. For they have all been turned over to death, to the earth beneath, among mankind, with those who go down to the pit.”

So that no trees by the waters may ever again exalt themselves for their height, nor set their tops among the thick boughs, that no tree which drinks water may ever be high enough to reach up to them.‘ For they have all been delivered to death, To the depths of the earth, Among the children of men who go down to the Pit.’

然而，你們要死去，與世人一樣，要仆倒，像任何一位王子一般。」

按着命定，人人都有一死，死後且有審判。

你們祖先豈不是這樣做，以致我們的神使一切災禍臨到我們和這城嗎？你們竟干犯安息日，使憤怒越發臨到以色列！」

這些事發生在他們身上，要作為鑒戒，而且寫下來正是要警戒我們這末世的人。

既然神判決了所多瑪和蛾摩拉，將二城傾覆，焚燒成灰，作為後世不敬虔人的鑒戒，

然後，城裏的眾人就要用石頭將他打死。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉，全以色列聽見了都要害怕。」

「人子啊，你要為埃及的軍隊哀號，把他們和強盛之國一同扔到地底下，與那些下到地府的人在一起。『你的美麗勝過誰呢？墜落吧，與未受割禮的人躺在一起！』他們要仆倒在被刀所殺的人當中。埃及被交給刀劍，人要把它和它的軍隊拉走。強壯的勇士要在陰間對埃及王和他的盟友說話；他們未受割禮，被刀劍所殺，已經墜落躺下。「亞述和它的全軍在那裏，四圍都是墳墓；他們全都是被殺倒在刀下的人。他們的墳墓在地府極深之處，它的眾軍環繞它的墳墓，他們全都是被殺倒在刀下的人，曾在活人之地使人驚恐。「以攔在那裏，它的全軍環繞它的墳墓；他們全都是被殺倒在刀下、未受割禮而到地底下的，曾在活人之地使人驚恐；他們與下到地府的人一同擔當羞辱。人為它和它的軍隊在被殺的人中設立床榻，四圍都是墳墓；他們都是未受割禮被刀所殺的，曾在活人之地使人驚恐；他們與下到地府的人一同擔當羞辱。以攔已列在被殺的人中。「米設、土巴和他們的全軍都在那裏，四圍都是墳墓；他們都是未受割禮被刀所殺的，曾在活人之地使人驚恐。他們不得與那未受割禮仆倒的勇士躺在一起；這些勇士帶着兵器下到陰間，頭枕着刀劍，骨頭帶着本身的罪孽，曾在活人之地使人驚恐。法老啊，你必與未受割禮的人一起毀滅，與被刀所殺的人躺在一起。「以東在那裏，它的君王和所有官長雖然英勇，還是與被刀所殺的人同列；他們必與未受割禮的和下到地府的人躺在一起。「在那裏有北方的眾王子和所有的西頓人，全都與被殺的人一同下去。他們雖然英勇，使人驚恐，還是蒙羞。他們未受割禮，和被刀所殺的人躺在一起，與下到地府的人一同擔當羞辱。「法老看見他們，就為他的軍兵，就是被刀所殺屬法老的人和他的全軍感到安慰。這是主耶和華說的。我任憑法老在活人之地使人驚恐，法老和他的軍兵必躺在未受割禮和被刀所殺的人中。這是主耶和華說的。」

全以色列都要聽見而害怕，不敢在你中間再行這樣的惡事了。

你必被趕出離開世人，與野地的走獸同住，吃草如牛，且要經過七個時期；等你知道至高者在人的國中掌權，要將國賜給誰就賜給誰。」

但那些尋索要滅我命的人必往地底下去；他們必被刀劍所殺，成為野狗的食物。

伯沙撒啊，你是他的兒子，你雖知道這一切，卻不謙卑自己，竟向天上的主自高，差人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明，沒有將榮耀歸與那手中掌管你氣息，管理你一切行動的神。

在這樣的榮耀與威勢中，伊甸樹木有誰能與你相比呢？然而你要與伊甸的樹木一同到地底下；在未受割禮的人中，與被刀所殺的人一同躺下。「法老和他的軍隊正是如此。這是主耶和華說的。」
