堅巴比倫王之肱、付我刃於其手、折法老之肱、使呻吟於其前、若人受重傷然、

使巴比倫王膂力剛強、俾執我刃、折法老二肱使其嘆息於敵前、若人被重傷、而嘆息焉。

我必堅巴比倫王之臂、以我刃付於其手、我必折法老之臂、使其嘆息於巴比倫王前、若受傷者之嘆息然、使其嘆息於巴比倫王前若受傷者之嘆息然或作法老既受重傷必嘆息於巴比倫王前

I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a mortally wounded man.

I will make the arms of the king of Babylon stronger. I will put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh. And he will groan in front of Nebuchadnezzar. He will cry out like someone dying from his wounds.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a man mortally wounded.

I will strengthen the arms of Babylon’s king and put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he will lie there mortally wounded, groaning in pain.

古實人啊，你們必死在耶和華的刀下。

我要使巴比倫王的臂膀強壯有力，而法老的雙臂必軟弱無力。我要把我的刀交在巴比倫王手中，讓他揮刀攻擊埃及。那時他們就知道我是耶和華。

「我耶和華膏立塞魯士為王，我牽著他的右手幫助他征服列國、降服列王；我使城門洞開，讓他通行無阻。我對他說，

因為他們想恐嚇我們，以為我們會嚇得手發軟，無法完成工程。但上帝啊，求你使我的手有力量！

城中傳來垂死之人的呻吟，受傷者不斷呼救，上帝卻置之不理。

我是獨一無二的耶和華，除我以外再沒有上帝。雖然你不認識我，但我還是賜你力量。

我要磨快閃亮的劍，主持公道，報應仇敵，懲罰恨我的人。我要使我的箭飽飲鮮血，被殺被擄之人的血；我的劍要吞噬人肉，敵人將領的肉。』

耶和華啊，求你起來迎頭擊倒他們，求你持刀救我脫離惡人。

「主耶和華對泰爾這樣說，『你傾覆的時候，你中間的殺戮聲和受傷之人的慘叫聲豈不震動沿海地區嗎？

現在，我要把你們的國家交給我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，連田野的走獸也要歸他管轄。各國都要臣服於他和他的子孫，直到他的國家滅亡。那時，許多國家和強大的君王必奴役他。如果哪一邦或哪一國不肯臣服於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，不肯負巴比倫王的軛，我必用戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫懲罰他們，直到我藉巴比倫王的手毀滅他們。這是耶和華說的。

是上帝賜我力量，使我行為純全。

耶和華——我的磐石當受稱頌，祂使我能爭善戰。

主耶和華說，『我要藉巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的手消滅埃及的百姓。

你賜我征戰的能力，使我的仇敵降服在我腳下。

「看啊，時候將到，我要懲罰巴比倫的神像，使巴比倫到處都是受傷者的呻吟。這是耶和華說的。

祂必經過苦海，擊打海浪，尼羅河必乾涸，亞述的驕傲必掃地，埃及的勢力必滅沒。我必讓他們靠著我強盛，他們必奉我的名行事。這是耶和華說的。」

然而，斧頭怎能向舞動它的人自誇呢？鋸子怎能向用鋸的人炫耀呢？難道棍子可以揮動舉它的人嗎？手杖可以舉起它的主人嗎？

耶和華說：「亞述王有禍了！他是我的憤怒之棍，他手中拿著我發烈怒的杖。我要差遣他去攻打一個不虔敬的國家，一個惹我發怒的民族，去搶奪、擄掠他們的財物，像踐踏街上的泥土一樣踐踏他們。
