“人子啊，你对推罗君王说，主耶和华如此说：因你心里高傲，说：‘我是神；我在海中坐神之位。’你虽然居心自比神，也不过是人，并不是神！

“人子啊，你去告诉泰尔王，主耶和华这样说，“‘你心里高傲，说，我是神，我坐在海中神的宝座上。你虽然自以为像神，但事实上你不是神，不过是人。

「人子啊，你對泰爾君王說，主耶和華如此說：因你心裏高傲，說：我是神；我在海中坐神之位。你雖然居心自比神，也不過是人，並不是神！

「人子啊，你要對推羅的君王說，主耶和華如此說：你心裏高傲，說：『我是神明；我在海中坐諸神之位。』雖然你把你的心比作神明的心，你卻不過是人，並不是神明！

『人子啊，你要對推羅的人君說：主永恆主這麼說：『因你心裏高傲，說：「我乃是神；我在海中心，坐神的寶座」；其實你不過是人，並不是神，儘管你居心、自以為有神的心機。——

人子歟、當謂推羅君曰、主耶和華云、爾心驕泰、自謂我為上帝、坐上帝之位於海中、居心同乎上帝、爾仍為人、非上帝也、

人子、當告推羅王云、主耶和華曰、爾中心驕泰、自謂可匹上帝、其邑在海中、若上帝位、爾雖自謂可匹上帝、終屬凡民、非上帝也。

人子、當告推羅王曰、主天主如是云、爾心驕傲、自謂我乃神、我坐神之位於海中、爾實屬人、並非神也、自以為己心如神心、

“ Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ In the pride of your heart you say,“ I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas.” But you are a mere mortal and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.

“ Son of man, speak to Ethbaal. He is the ruler of Tyre. Tell him,‘ The Lord and King says,“‘ “In your proud heart you say,‘ I am a god. I sit on the throne of a god in the Mediterranean Sea.’ But you are only a human being. You are not a god. In spite of that, you think you are as wise as a god.

“ Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God:“ Because your heart is proud, and you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no god, though you make your heart like the heart of a god—

“ Son of man, give the prince of Tyre this message from the Sovereign Lord:“ In your great pride you claim,‘ I am a god! I sit on a divine throne in the heart of the sea.’ But you are only a man and not a god, though you boast that you are a god.

“ Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Your heart is proud, and you have said,“ I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the heart of the sea.” Yet you are a man and not a god, though you have regarded your heart as that of a god.

“ Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre,‘ The Lord God says this:“ Because your heart is haughty And you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods In the heart of the seas’; Yet you are a mortal and not God, Although you make your heart like the heart of God—

“ Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Because your heart is lifted up, And you say,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, In the midst of the seas,’ Yet you are a man, and not a god, Though you set your heart as the heart of a god

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art man, and not God, though thou didst set thy heart as the heart of God;—

“ Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre: This is what the Lord God says: Your heart is proud, and you have said,‘ I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the heart of the sea.’ Yet you are a man and not a god, though you have regarded your heart as that of a god.

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart[ is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I[ am] a God, I sit[ in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou[ art] a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

“ Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says:“‘ Your heart is proud and you said,“ I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods, in the heart of the seas”– yet you are a man and not a god, though you think you are godlike.

“ Son of man, tell the prince of Tyre,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the middle of the seas;’ yet you are man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God—

Will you then say,“ I am a god,” in the presence of those who kill you? You will be but a mortal, not a god, in the hands of those who slay you. (niv)

He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. (niv)

But the Egyptians are mere mortals and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out his hand, those who help will stumble, those who are helped will fall; all will perish together. (niv)

Strike them with terror, Lord; let the nations know they are only mortal. (niv)

You said in your heart,“ I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” (niv)

“ But you, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways. (niv)

Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor. (niv)

“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because the great cedar towered over the thick foliage, and because it was proud of its height, (niv)

Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. (niv)

“ For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (niv)

“ Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared.You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. (niv)

In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,“ God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” (niv)

He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. (niv)

then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. (niv)

Say to Tyre, situated at the gateway to the sea, merchant of peoples on many coasts,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ You say, Tyre,“ I am perfect in beauty.”Your domain was on the high seas; your builders brought your beauty to perfection. (niv)

“ See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness— (niv)

By your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, and because of your wealth your heart has grown proud.“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ Because you think you are wise, as wise as a god, (niv)

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. (niv)

The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted( and they will be humbled), (niv)

he said,“ Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?”Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven,“ This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. (niv)

They shouted,“ This is the voice of a god, not of a man.”Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died. (niv)

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. (niv)

Your oarsmen take you out to the high seas. But the east wind will break you to pieces far out at sea.Your wealth, merchandise and wares, your mariners, sailors and shipwrights, your merchants and all your soldiers, and everyone else on board will sink into the heart of the sea on the day of your shipwreck. (niv)

Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. (niv)

May he be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth.In his days may the righteous flourish and prosperity abound till the moon is no more. (niv)

“ I said,‘ You are“ gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.” (niv)
