地上的君王，與她行淫、一同奢華的，看見燒她的煙，就必為她哭泣哀號；因怕她的痛苦，就遠遠地站着，說：「禍哉，禍哉，這大城！堅固的巴比倫城啊！一時之間，你的審判要來到了。」

主耶和華對推羅如此說：「在你中間行殺戮，受傷的人唉哼時，海島豈不都因你傾倒的響聲震動嗎？那時沿海的君王都要從寶座下來，除去朝服，脫下錦衣，披上戰兢，坐在地上，不停發抖，為你而驚駭。他們必為你作哀歌，向你說：『你這聞名之城，航海之人居住，海上最為堅固的，你和居民使所有住在沿海的人無不驚恐，現在竟然毀滅了！如今在你傾覆的日子，海島都要戰兢；海中的羣島見你歸於無有就都驚惶。』」
