以色列王比加年间，亚述王提革拉毗列色来夺了以云、亚伯伯玛迦、亚挪、基低斯、夏琐、基列、加利利，和拿弗他利全地，将这些地方的居民都掳到亚述去了。

“他们必不归回埃及地，亚述人却要作他们的王，因他们不肯归向我。

希西家王第四年，就是以色列王以拉的儿子何细亚第七年，亚述王撒缦以色上来围困撒玛利亚；过了三年就攻取了城。希西家第六年，以色列王何细亚第九年，撒玛利亚被攻取了。亚述王将以色列人掳到亚述，把他们安置在哈腊与歌散的哈博河边，并玛代人的城邑；都因他们不听从耶和华他们神的话，违背他的约，就是耶和华仆人摩西吩咐他们所当守的。

你所看见的那十角与兽必恨这淫妇，使她冷落赤身，又要吃她的肉，用火将她烧尽。

故此，以色列的神激动亚述王普勒和亚述王提革拉毗列色的心，他们就把流便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派的人掳到哈腊、哈博、哈拉与歌散河边，直到今日还在那里。

你所看见的那十角就是十王；他们还没有得国，但他们一时之间要和兽同得权柄，与王一样。他们同心合意将自己的能力、权柄给那兽。
