“ For this is what the sovereign LORD says: Bring up an army against them and subject them to terror and plunder.

「主耶和華說，『我要使許多人起來攻擊、搶掠她們，叫她們膽戰心驚。

“因為主耶和華這樣說：我必使一大群人上來攻擊她們，使她們驚慌，被人搶掠。

因為主永恆主這麼說：『讓一幫人上來攻擊她們吧！使她們成為令人不寒而慄、令人擄掠的對象吧！

主耶和華曰、我必率眾攻之、俾其播蕩而被刦、

主耶和華曰、我必率眾、攻斯二女、攘奪劫掠之、

主天主如是云、我必使眾來攻斯二婦、使其受凌辱、被刧奪、

“ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Bring a mob against them and give them over to terror and plunder.

The Lord and King says,“ Bring an angry crowd against the sisters. Hand them over to those who will terrify them and steal everything they have.

For thus says the Lord God:“ Bring up a vast host against them, and make them an object of terror and a plunder.

“ Now this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Bring an army against them and hand them over to be terrorized and plundered.

“ This is what the Lord GOD says: Summon an assembly against them and consign them to terror and plunder.

“ For this is what the Lord God says:‘ Bring up a contingent against them and turn them over to terror and plunder.

“ For thus says the Lord GOD:‘ Bring up an assembly against them, give them up to trouble and plunder.

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will bring up a company against them, and will give them to be tossed to and fro and robbed.

“ This is what the Lord God says: Summon an assembly against them and consign them to terror and plunder.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.

“ For the Lord Yahweh says:‘ I will bring up a mob against them, and will give them to be tossed back and forth and robbed.

They will summon a mob who will stone you and hack you in pieces with their swords.

I will make all the people in all the kingdoms of the world horrified at what has happened to them because of what Hezekiah’s son Manasseh, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem.”

I will bring such disaster on them that all the kingdoms of the earth will be horrified. I will make them an object of reproach, a proverbial example of disaster. I will make them an object of ridicule, an example to be used in curses. That is how they will be remembered wherever I banish them.

“ Therefore, Oholibah, this is what the sovereign LORD says: Look here, I am about to stir up against you the lovers with whom you were disgusted; I will bring them against you from every side:the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them, desirable young men, all of them governors and officials, officers and nobles, all of them riding on horses.They will attack you with weapons, chariots, wagons, and with a huge army; they will array themselves against you on every side with large shields, small shields, and helmets. I will assign them the task of judgment; they will punish you according to their laws.I will direct my jealous anger against you, and they will deal with you in rage. They will cut off your nose and your ears, and your survivors will die by the sword. They will seize your sons and daughters, and your survivors will be consumed by fire.They will strip your clothes off you and take away your beautiful jewelry.

So I, the LORD, affirm that I will send for all the peoples of the north and my servant, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and all the nations that surround it. I will utterly destroy this land, its inhabitants, and all the nations that surround it and make them everlasting ruins. I will make them objects of horror and hissing scorn.

So I, the LORD, say:“ You have not really obeyed me and granted freedom to your neighbor and fellow countryman. Therefore, I will grant you freedom, the freedom to die in war, or by starvation or disease. I, the LORD, affirm it! I will make all the kingdoms of the earth horrified at what happens to you.
