Slanderous men shed blood within you. Those who live within you eat pagan sacrifices on the mountains; they commit obscene acts among you.

爾中有毀謗者、流人之血、有人食於山、行淫亂、

揚虛誕以殺人、食岡巒之祭品、行諸淫亂、

爾中有人行讒毀為殺人流血、爾中有人食於山上獻偶像之祭物、爾中有人行諸邪淫、

In you are slanderers who are bent on shedding blood; in you are those who eat at the mountain shrines and commit lewd acts.

You have spread lies about others so you can spill someone’s blood. You eat at the mountain temples. You commit impure acts.

There are men in you who slander to shed blood, and people in you who eat on the mountains; they commit lewdness in your midst.

People accuse others falsely and send them to their death. You are filled with idol worshipers and people who do obscene things.

There are men within you who slander in order to shed blood. People who live in you eat at the mountain shrines; they commit depraved acts within you.

Slanderous men have been among you for the purpose of shedding blood, and among you they have eaten at the mountain shrines. In your midst they have committed outrageous sin.

In you are men who slander to cause bloodshed; in you are those who eat on the mountains; in your midst they commit lewdness.

They will eat, but not be satisfied; they will engage in prostitution, but not increase in numbers; because they have abandoned the LORD by pursuing other gods.

You must not go about as a slanderer among your people. You must not stand idly by when your neighbor’s life is at stake. I am the LORD.

Look at the people of Israel. Are not those who eat the sacrifices partners in the altar?Am I saying that idols or food sacrificed to them amount to anything?No, I mean that what the pagans sacrifice is to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be partners with demons.You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
