and say to her:‘ This is what the Lord says: I am against you. I will draw my sword from its sheath and cut off from you both the righteous and the wicked.

Tell them,‘ The Lord says,“ I am against you. I will pull out my sword. I will remove from you godly people and sinful people alike.

and say to the land of Israel, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I am against you and will draw my sword from its sheath and will cut off from you both righteous and wicked.

Tell her,‘ This is what the Lord says: I am your enemy, O Israel, and I am about to unsheath my sword to destroy your people— the righteous and the wicked alike.

and say to the land of Israel,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am against you; and I will draw My sword from its sheath and cut off from you the righteous and the wicked.

I am against you, Jerusalem, you who live above this valley on the rocky plateau, declares the Lord— you who say,“ Who can come against us? Who can enter our refuge?”

It is all the same; that is why I say,‘ He destroys both the blameless and the wicked.’

“ I am against you,” declares the Lord Almighty.“ I will burn up your chariots in smoke, and the sword will devour your young lions. I will leave you no prey on the earth. The voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”

“ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself am against you, Jerusalem, and I will inflict punishment on you in the sight of the nations.

“ I am against you,” declares the Lord Almighty.“ I will lift your skirts over your face. I will show the nations your nakedness and the kingdoms your shame.

“ Son of man, mark out two roads for the sword of the king of Babylon to take, both starting from the same country. Make a signpost where the road branches off to the city.

A third of your people will die of the plague or perish by famine inside you; a third will fall by the sword outside your walls; and a third I will scatter to the winds and pursue with drawn sword.

“ Woe to the Assyrian, the rod of my anger, in whose hand is the club of my wrath!

All share a common destiny— the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good, so with the sinful; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them.

I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out my sword and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste, and your cities will lie in ruins.

“ See, I am against you, you arrogant one,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty,“ for your day has come, the time for you to be punished.

And I will bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant. When you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be given into enemy hands.

The enemy boasted,‘ I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.’

Rise up, Lord, confront them, bring them down; with your sword rescue me from the wicked.
