But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins.It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar?You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another,‘ Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord.“ For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

God“ will repay each person according to what they have done.”To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.
