“ But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.

“ But suppose a sinful person turns away from all the sins they have committed. And they obey all my rules. They do what is fair and right. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.

“ But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.

But if a wicked person turns from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live because of it.

The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

“ Suppose a man is righteous and does what is just and right:

“ Therefore, house of Israel, I will judge each one of you according to his ways.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.“ Repent and turn from all your rebellious acts, so they will not become a sinful stumbling block to you.

But you may ask,‘ Why doesn’t the son suffer punishment for the father’s iniquity?’ Since the son has done what is just and right, carefully observing all my statutes, he will certainly live.

even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief,and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”— and I am the worst of them.But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age,while we wait for the blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession, eager to do good works.

and repentance for forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

He follows my statutes and keeps my ordinances, acting faithfully. Such a person is righteous; he will certainly live.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.Be miserable and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

“ Wash yourselves. Cleanse yourselves. Remove your evil deeds from my sight. Stop doing evil.Learn to do what is good. Pursue justice. Correct the oppressor. Defend the rights of the fatherless. Plead the widow’s cause.“ Come, let’s settle this,” says the LORD.“ Though your sins are scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are crimson red, they will be like wool.If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

He keeps his hand from harming the poor, not taking interest or profit on a loan. He practices my ordinances and follows my statutes. Such a person will not die for his father’s iniquity. He will certainly live.

When he was in distress, he sought the favor of the LORD his God and earnestly humbled himself before the God of his ancestors.He prayed to him, and the LORD was receptive to his prayer. He granted his request and brought him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom. So Manasseh came to know that the LORD is God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things.Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’“ So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.Instead, I preached to those in Damascus first, and to those in Jerusalem and in all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

The righteous person won’t be able to survive by his righteousness on the day he sins.When I tell the righteous person that he will surely live, but he trusts in his righteousness and acts unjustly, then none of his righteousness will be remembered, and he will die because of the injustice he has committed.“‘ So when I tell the wicked person,“ You will surely die,” but he repents of his sin and does what is just and right—he returns collateral, makes restitution for what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without committing injustice— he will certainly live; he will not die.None of the sins he committed will be held against him. He has done what is just and right; he will certainly live.

Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.

because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Seek the LORD while he may be found; call to him while he is near.Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, so he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will freely forgive.

I will place my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances.

For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

May my heart be blameless regarding your statutes so that I will not be put to shame.

because Abraham listened to me and kept my mandate, my commands, my statutes, and my instructions.”

How happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk according to the LORD’s instruction!

But if you warn the righteous person that he should not sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he listened to your warning, and you will have rescued yourself.”

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can such faith save him?
