那時你的壞行為還沒露現出來；如今你竟成了像她的，成了以東女兒們辱罵的對象、以及她四圍的眾人、那四圍輕蔑你的、非利士女兒們——辱罵的對象呢！

其時爾惡未彰、亞蘭諸女、及四周非利士諸女、猶未輕視爾、

其時爾惡尚未彰顯、亞蘭眾女、及四周之非利士眾女、尚未凌辱爾、藐視爾、

before your wickedness was uncovered. Even so, you are now scorned by the daughters of Edom and all her neighbors and the daughters of the Philistines— all those around you who despise you.

That was before your sin was uncovered. Now the daughters of Edom make fun of you. So do all her neighbors and the daughters of the Philistines. Everyone who lives around you hates you.

before your wickedness was uncovered? Now you have become an object of reproach for the daughters of Syria and all those around her, and for the daughters of the Philistines, those all around who despise you.

But now your greater wickedness has been exposed to all the world, and you are the one who is scorned— by Edom and all her neighbors and by Philistia.

before your wickedness was exposed? It was like the time you were scorned by the daughters of Aram and all those around her, and by the daughters of the Philistines— those who treated you with contempt from every side.

before your wickedness was uncovered, so now you have become the disgrace of the daughters of Edom and of all who are around her, of the daughters of the Philistines— those surrounding you who despise you.

before your wickedness was uncovered. It was like the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria and all those around her, and of the daughters of the Philistines, who despise you everywhere.

Then Rezin king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem and besieged Ahaz, but they could not overpower him.At that time, Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram by driving out the people of Judah. Edomites then moved into Elath and have lived there to this day.Ahaz sent messengers to say to Tiglath- Pileser king of Assyria,“ I am your servant and vassal. Come up and save me out of the hand of the king of Aram and of the king of Israel, who are attacking me.” (niv)

This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you poured out your lust and exposed your naked body in your promiscuity with your lovers, and because of all your detestable idols, and because you gave them your children’s blood,therefore I am going to gather all your lovers, with whom you found pleasure, those you loved as well as those you hated. I will gather them against you from all around and will strip you in front of them, and they will see you stark naked. (niv)

Therefore the Lord his God delivered him into the hands of the king of Aram. The Arameans defeated him and took many of his people as prisoners and brought them to Damascus. He was also given into the hands of the king of Israel, who inflicted heavy casualties on him.In one day Pekah son of Remaliah killed a hundred and twenty thousand soldiers in Judah— because Judah had forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors. When Ahaz son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem, but they could not overpower it. (niv)

while the Philistines had raided towns in the foothills and in the Negev of Judah. They captured and occupied Beth Shemesh, Aijalon and Gederoth, as well as Soko, Timnah and Gimzo, with their surrounding villages.The Lord had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had promoted wickedness in Judah and had been most unfaithful to the Lord.Tiglath- Pileser king of Assyria came to him, but he gave him trouble instead of help.Ahaz took some of the things from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace and from the officials and presented them to the king of Assyria, but that did not help him.In his time of trouble King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the Lord.He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him; for he thought,“ Since the gods of the kings of Aram have helped them, I will sacrifice to them so they will help me.” But they were his downfall and the downfall of all Israel. (niv)

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. (niv)

“ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:‘ Because you people have brought to mind your guilt by your open rebellion, revealing your sins in all that you do— because you have done this, you will be taken captive. (niv)

Your punishment will end, Daughter Zion; he will not prolong your exile. But he will punish your sin, Daughter Edom, and expose your wickedness. (niv)

So now I will expose her lewdness before the eyes of her lovers; no one will take her out of my hands. (niv)

“ Have you not noticed that these people are saying,‘ The Lord has rejected the two kingdoms he chose’? So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation. (niv)

This prophecy came in the year King Ahaz died: (niv)

whenever I would heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim are exposed and the crimes of Samaria revealed. They practice deceit, thieves break into houses, bandits rob in the streets; (niv)

Then Balaam spoke his message:“ Balak brought me from Aram, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains.‘ Come,’ he said,‘ curse Jacob for me; come, denounce Israel.’ (niv)

When she carried on her prostitution openly and exposed her naked body, I turned away from her in disgust, just as I had turned away from her sister.Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. (niv)

When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you. (niv)
