「『主耶和華說，你的心敗壞至極，簡直就像不知羞恥的娼妓，

“‘你行的這一切事，簡直是任性無恥的妓女所為，可見你的意志是多麼的薄弱。這是耶和華的宣告。

『主永恆主發神諭說：你的心怎樣地鬧相思病啊，你行這一切、一個任性淫婦的所作所為啊！

主耶和華曰、爾行此事、乃無恥之淫婦所為、爾心何其荏弱哉、

主耶和華曰、爾行此事、有若淫婦、既無羞惡之心、又精神之頓耗。

主天主曰、爾行此諸事、俱無羞恥之淫婦所行、爾心何其敗哉、

“‘ I am filled with fury against you, declares the Sovereign Lord, when you do all these things, acting like a brazen prostitute!

“‘ “I am filled with great anger against you,” announces the Lord and King.“ Just look at all the things you are doing! You are acting like a prostitute who has no shame at all.

“ How sick is your heart, declares the Lord God, because you did all these things, the deeds of a brazen prostitute,

“ What a sick heart you have, says the Sovereign Lord, to do such things as these, acting like a shameless prostitute.

“ How feverish is your heart,” declares the Lord God,“ while you do all these things, the action of a bold prostitute!

“ How degenerate is your heart!” says the Lord God,“ seeing you do all these things, the deeds of a brazen harlot.

How weak is thy heart, saith the Lord Jehovah, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an impudent harlot;

“ How your heart was inflamed with lust”— the declaration of the Lord God—“ when you did all these things, the acts of a brazen prostitute,

How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these[ things], the work of an imperious whorish woman;

“‘ How sick is your heart, declares the sovereign LORD, when you perform all of these acts, the deeds of a bold prostitute.

“‘“ How weak is your heart,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ since you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute;

This is why the showers haven’t come— why there has been no spring rain. You have the brazen look of a prostitute and refuse to be ashamed.

“ For my people are fools; they do not know me. They are foolish children, without understanding. They are skilled in doing what is evil, but they do not know how to do what is good.”

The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master’s feeding trough, but Israel does not know; my people do not understand.”

Folly is a rowdy woman; she is gullible and knows nothing.

The look on their faces testifies against them, and like Sodom, they flaunt their sin; they do not conceal it. Woe to them, for they have brought disaster on themselves.

She is loud and defiant; her feet do not stay at home.Now in the street, now in the squares, she lurks at every corner.She grabs him and kisses him; she brazenly says to him,

I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold, jewels, and pearls. She had a golden cup in her hand filled with everything detestable and with the impurities of her prostitution.On her forehead was written a name, a mystery: BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE DETESTABLE THINGS OF THE EARTH.Then I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.
