即使有這三人在那中間，主永恆主發神諭說，我指着永活的我來起誓，他們也必不能援救他們的兒女，只有他們自己能得救援，那地仍必荒涼。

主天主曰、雖此三人在其國中、我指己永生而誓、彼不能救其子女、惟一己得救、地仍荒蕪、

as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but the land would be desolate.

And suppose these three men were in that country. Then they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved. But the land would become a dry and empty desert. And that is just as sure as I am alive,” announces the Lord and King.

當上帝毁滅了那一片平原諸城的時候，上帝記起了亞伯拉罕來；當他覆滅了羅得所住之城的時候，他打發了羅得從覆滅之中出來。

「那起來攻擊我們的、果然被抹除了，他們剩下的、有火給吞滅了。」

即使有這三人在那中間，主永恆主發神諭說；我指着永活的我來起誓，他們也必不能援救他們的兒女，只有他們自己能得救援。

因着信、挪亞得了神諭關於還未看到的事，就動了虔敬的心而建備樓船、來救他的家，便藉着信而定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了依信而稱的義。

惟獨犯罪的人、他自己必死亡；兒子必不擔當父親的罪罰，父親也不擔當兒子的罪罰；義人的義果必歸他自己，惡人的惡報也必歸他自己。

那麼即使有挪亞、但以理、約伯、這三人在那中間，他們也只能因自己的義而援救自己的性命：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

「保羅、別怕了：你必須站在該撒面前；看吧，上帝已將跟你一同航行的人都賜給你了」。

我還告訴你們，若是你們中間兩個人在地上、對他們所要求的一切事同心合意，我在天上的父就必給他們作成。因為無論哪裏、兩個或三個人奉我的名聚集，在那裏、我就在他們中間。』

所以你們要彼此認罪，互相代禱，使你們得醫治，義人竭力的祈求是大有功效的。

即使有挪亞、但以理、約伯在那中間，主永恆主發神諭說，我指着永活的我來起誓，他們也必不能援救他們的兒女，乃只能因自己的義而援救自己的性命罷了。

你要告訴他們說：「永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你們既說給我親耳聽見了，我就一定要照你們所說的待你們。你們的屍身必倒斃在這曠野；你們凡被點閱過的、按你們的總數、從二十歲和以上的、凡向我發怨言的、

亞伯拉罕走近前去，說：『你真地要將義人同惡人一齊掃滅麼？萬一城中有五十個義人呢，你還真地要掃滅，也不為了其中五十個義人的緣故而饒了那地方麼？將義人同惡人一齊殺死，你這樣作麼！絕對不然！讓義人像惡人一樣麼！絕對不然！審判全地的主、難道不行公義麼？』永恆主說：『我若在所多瑪城中見有五十個義人，我就要因他們的緣故而饒了那全地方。』亞伯拉罕回答說：『我雖是塵土爐灰，還敢對主說話。萬一五十個義人缺了五個呢，你還要因為缺了五個就毁滅全城麼？』他說：『我若在那裏見有四十五個，我也不毁滅那城。』亞伯拉罕又對他說：『萬一在那裏只見有四十個呢？』他說：『因這四十個的緣故，我也不這樣作。』亞伯拉罕說：『求主不要發怒，容我再說一句：『假使在那裏只見有三十個呢？』他說：『我若在那裏見有三十個，我也不這樣作。』亞伯拉罕說：『我還敢對主說一句：假使在那裏只見有二十個呢？』他說：『因這二十個的緣故，我也不毁滅。』亞伯拉罕說：『求主不要發怒，容我再說一句：就只這一次：萬一在那裏只見有十個呢？』他說：『因這十個的緣故，我也不毁滅。』永恆主與亞伯拉罕說完了話就走了；亞伯拉罕也回自己地方去了。

你要對他們說：主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓：我絕不喜悅惡人死亡；我乃是喜歡惡人回轉離開他的行徑以得活着。回轉吧！回轉！離開你們的壞行徑哦！何必死亡呢、以色列家啊？
