主天主曰、雖此三人在其國中、我指己永生而誓、彼不能救其子女、惟一己得救、地仍荒蕪、

雖斯三人居其中、我耶和華指己而誓、其國荒蕪之日、彼止能救一己之命、不能救其子女。

as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but the land would be desolate.

And suppose these three men were in that country. Then they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved. But the land would become a dry and empty desert. And that is just as sure as I am alive,” announces the Lord and King.

當天主滅平原諸邑時、俯念亞伯拉罕滅羅得所居之邑時、遣羅得出、免遇滅邑之災、

曰、我敵見絕、其貲財貲財或作富有火盡燬之、

主天主曰、雖此三人居於其中、我指己永生而誓、彼不能救其子女、惟一己得救

挪亞有信、蒙天主默示未見之事、遂敬畏主、而造方舟以救其家、以此罪世、且得由信之義、

惟犯罪之人必死、子不負父罪、父不負子罪、善人之善歸己、惡人之惡歸已、

雖挪亞、但以理、約百三人、居於其中、但能因其義救一己之生命、此乃主天主所言、

曰、保羅勿懼、爾必立於該撒前、且天主以同舟之人悉賜爾、

我又告爾、若爾中有二人契合於地、以求何事、我在天之父、必為彼成之、蓋無論何處、有二三人為我名而集、我亦在其中、○

當彼此認過、互為祈禱、則可得愈、蓋義人切切祈禱、甚為有力、

主天主曰、雖挪亞、但以理、約百居於其中、我指己永生而誓、彼不能救其子女、但能因其義救一己之生命、

爾當告之曰、主云、我指己永生而誓、我所聞爾之言、必循之以待爾、爾曹怨我、故凡爾見數者、自二十歲以上、屍骸俱仆於曠野、

亞伯拉罕就之曰、善者惡者、主並滅之乎、假如邑中有五十善人、主亦必翦滅乎、不緣邑中五十善人、而免其一邑乎、不分善惡俱誅、待善惡相均、此固非主所為、鞫天下者豈不行公義乎、主曰、所多瑪邑中、我若遇五十善人、我必緣此赦其一方、亞伯拉罕曰、我雖若灰塵、敢告主、若五十善人、缺五人、則因缺五人而滅此一邑乎、曰、若邑中我遇四十五人則亦不滅、亞伯拉罕復對曰、若邑中遇四十人則何如、曰、緣四十人我亦不行是、亞伯拉罕曰、求主毋怒、容我言、若邑中遇三十人則何如、曰、我若遇三十人亦不行是、曰、我敢告主、若邑中遇二十人則何如、曰、緣二十人我亦不滅、曰、求主毋怒、我惟此一言、若邑中遇十人則何如、曰、緣十人我亦不滅、主與亞伯拉罕言竟遂去、亞伯拉罕亦歸己所、

爾告之曰、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、我不以惡人死亡為悅、惟以惡人悛改其惡行、而得生存為悅、以色列族歟、悛改、悛改、離爾惡行、何為自取死亡、○
