即使有這三個人在其中，我指著我的永生起誓，他們只能救自己，連兒女也不能救，那地卻仍然荒涼。這是主耶和華的宣告。

雖此三人在於其中、我指己生而誓、彼不得救其子女、惟救己而已、地必荒蕪、主耶和華言之矣、

雖斯三人居其中、我耶和華指己而誓、其國荒蕪之日、彼止能救一己之命、不能救其子女。

主天主曰、雖此三人在其國中、我指己永生而誓、彼不能救其子女、惟一己得救、地仍荒蕪、

as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, even if these three men were in it, they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but the land would be desolate.

And suppose these three men were in that country. Then they could not save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved. But the land would become a dry and empty desert. And that is just as sure as I am alive,” announces the Lord and King.

神毀滅那平原上的眾城，傾覆羅得所住過的眾城的時候，神記念亞伯拉罕，把羅得從傾覆中救出來。

‘我們的對頭必被剪除，他們剝下來的有火吞滅了。’

即使有這三個人在其中，主耶和華說：我指著我的永生起誓，他們只能救自己，連兒女也不能救。

因著信，挪亞在還沒有看見的事上，得了神的警告，就動了敬畏的心，做了一艘方舟，使他全家得救。藉著這信心，他就定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那因信而來的義。

唯獨犯罪的，才會滅亡；兒子必不擔當父親的罪孽，父親也必不擔當兒子的罪孽；義人的義必歸他自己，惡人的惡也必歸他自己。

即使有挪亞、但以理和約伯這三個人，他們也只能因自己的義救自己的性命。這是主耶和華的宣告。

‘保羅，不要怕。你必定可以站在凱撒面前；神已經把那些和你同船的人賜給你了。’

我又告訴你們，你們當中若有兩個人，在地上同心為甚麼事祈求，我在天上的父必為他們成全。因為無論在哪裡，有兩三個人奉我的名聚會，我就在他們中間。”

所以你們應當彼此認罪，互相代求，這樣你們就可以痊愈。義人祈禱所發出的力量，是大有功效的。

即使當中有挪亞、但以理和約伯，我指著我的永生起誓，他們只能因自己的義救自己的性命，連兒女也不能救。這是主耶和華的宣告。”

你要對他們說：‘耶和華說，我指著我的永生起誓，我必照著你們所說給我聽的，對待你們：你們的屍體必倒在這曠野；你們中間被數點過的，就是按著你們的數目，從二十歲及以上，向我發過怨言的，

亞伯拉罕上前說：“你真的要把義人和惡人一同除滅嗎？假如城中有五十個義人，你還真的要除滅那地方，不為城裡的五十個義人而赦免那地方嗎？你絕不會作這樣的事：把義人與惡人一同殺死，把義人和惡人一樣看待，你絕不會這樣！審判全地的主，豈可不行公義嗎？”耶和華說：“我若在所多瑪城中找到五十個義人，我就因他們的緣故，赦免那地方所有的人。”亞伯拉罕回答，說：“我雖然是灰塵，還大膽地對我主說話。假如這五十個義人中缺少了五個，你會因為缺少了五個就毀滅全城嗎？”他說：“我若在那裡找到四十五個，我也不會毀滅那城。”亞伯拉罕再問他說：“假如在那裡找到四十個呢？”他回答：“我因這四十個的緣故，也不這樣作。”亞伯拉罕說：“請我主不要動怒，容我再問：‘假如在那裡找到三十個呢？’”他回答：“我若在那裡找到三十個，也不這樣作。”亞伯拉罕說：“我再大膽地對我主說，假如在那裡找到二十個呢？”他回答：“我因這二十個的緣故，也不毀滅那城。”亞伯拉罕說：“請我主不要動怒，容我問這最後的一次，假如在那裡找到十個呢？”他回答：“我因這十個的緣故，也不毀滅那城。”耶和華與亞伯拉罕說完了話，就走了；亞伯拉罕也回到自己的地方去了。

你要對他們說：‘主耶和華這樣宣告：我指著我的永生起誓，我絕不喜悅惡人死亡，卻喜悅惡人離開他所行的，得以存活。以色列家啊，回轉吧！離開你們所行的，何必死亡呢？’
