彼見虛偽、及欺誑之卜筮、謂耶和華言之、然耶和華未嘗遣之、彼乃使人冀其言有驗、

彼所見者、虛偽之異象、所占者無憑之卜筮、自謂傳耶和華之命、然我未嘗示之、未嘗遣之、彼使人冀其言有應、是事豈不有之乎。

彼言得默示、悉屬妄誕、占卜皆屬虛偽、自謂傳主之言、主實未曾遣之、妄使人冀其言之應驗、

Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say,“ The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words.

The visions of those prophets are false. They use magic to try to find out what is going to happen. But their magic tricks are lies. They say,‘ The Lord announces.’ But I have not sent them. In spite of that, they expect him to make their words come true.

They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say,‘ Declares the Lord,’ when the Lord has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word.

Instead, they have told lies and made false predictions. They say,‘ This message is from the Lord,’ even though the Lord never sent them. And yet they expect him to fulfill their prophecies!

They saw false visions and their divinations were a lie. They claimed,“ This is the LORD’s declaration,” when the LORD did not send them, yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message.

They see deceit and lying divination, those who are saying,‘ The Lord declares,’ when the Lord has not sent them; yet they wait for the fulfillment of their word!

They have envisioned futility and false divination, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord!’ But the Lord has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed.

They have seen falsehood and lying divination, that say, Jehovah saith; but Jehovah hath not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.

They see false visions and speak lying divinations. They claim,‘ This is the Lord’s declaration,’ when the Lord did not send them, yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message.

They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made[ others] to hope that they would confirm the word.

They see delusion and their omens are a lie. They say,“ the LORD declares,” though the LORD has not sent them; yet they expect their word to be confirmed.

They have seen falsehood and lying divination, who say,‘ Yahweh says;’ but Yahweh has not sent them. They have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.

耶利米先知就對哈拿尼雅先知說：“哈拿尼雅啊！你要聽，耶和華並沒有差遣你，你竟使這人民信靠謊言。

這地的先知用灰泥給他們粉刷牆壁，為他們見虛假的異象，行騙人的占卜，說：‘主耶和華這樣說’，其實當時耶和華並沒有說話。

你們的先知曾向你們預言說：‘巴比倫王必不會來攻擊你們和這地。’他們現今在哪裡呢？

“萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘不要被你們中間的先知和作占卜的欺騙，也不要聽信自己所作的夢（“自己所作的夢”原文作“你們的夢，就是你們所促使作的夢”，有古抄本作“他們所作的夢”）。

人為你所見的異象是虛假的，為你所占的卜是虛謊的，使你倒在該死的惡人的頸項上；他們受懲罰的日子到了，最後懲罰的時刻到了。

耶和華對我說：“那些先知借我的名說假預言；我並沒有差遣他們，沒有吩咐他們，也沒有向他們說話。他們對你們所預言的，是虛假的異象、占卜的預兆、虛無的事，和他們自己心裡的詭詐。”

因為偶像所說的是空言，占卜者所見的是虛謊，他們所說的是假夢，只給人空洞的安慰。因此，眾人都如羊沒有牧人，流離困苦。

有許多人要來，假冒我的名說‘我就是基督’，並且要迷惑許多的人。

我沒有使義人灰心，你們卻用謊言使他們灰心，又堅固惡人的手，使他們不轉離惡道而得拯救。因此，你們不得再見虛假的異象，也不得再行占卜的事；我要救我的子民脫離你們的手。你們就知道我是耶和華。’”

在那些曾經向巴比倫起誓效忠的猶大人看來，這是虛假的占卜，但巴比倫王要使他們想起自己的罪孽，把他們擄去。

王死了以後，人們把他送回撒瑪利亞，埋葬在那裡。

因為必有假基督和假先知出現，行神蹟和奇事，如果可以的話，連選民也要迷惑了。所以你們應當小心！我已經事先把一切都告訴你們了。

因為他們說虛妄誇大的話，用肉體的私慾和邪蕩的事，引誘那些剛剛逃脫了錯謬生活的人。

因此，你要對他們說：主耶和華這樣說：‘我必使這一句俗語不再流行，在以色列中，人必不再引用這句俗語。’你卻要對他們說：‘日子臨近了，所有異象都必應驗。’從此，在以色列家中必不再有虛假的異象和奉承的占卜。

愚蒙人凡話都信；精明的人卻步步謹慎。

說：‘王這樣吩咐：把這人囚在監裡，少給他食物和水，直到我平平安安回來。’”

於是以色列王把眾先知聚集了來，約有四百人，問他們：“我可以去攻打基列的拉末嗎？或是應當忍耐不去呢？”他們說：“你可以上去，主必把那城交在王的手裡。”

“你要寄信給所有被擄的人，說：‘論到尼希蘭人示瑪雅，耶和華這樣說：因為示瑪雅向你們說預言，我並沒有差遣他，他竟使你們信靠謊言。

因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，

“萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘我已經折斷了巴比倫王的軛。

你們不是見了虛假的異象，不是說了騙人的占卜嗎？你們還說：‘這是耶和華的宣告。’其實我並沒有說過。”

“看哪！那些先知用自己的舌頭說：‘這是耶和華的宣告’，我要對付他們。”這是耶和華的宣告。“看哪！那些藉虛假的夢說預言的，我要對付他們。”這是耶和華的宣告。“他們述說這些夢，以虛謊和誇張的話使我的子民走錯了路。我沒有差派他們，也沒有吩咐他們；他們對這人民毫無益處。”這是耶和華的宣告。

你的假先知為了你所見的異象，盡是虛謊和愚昧；他們沒有顯露你的罪孽，使你的命運得以挽回；他們為你所得的默示，全是虛謊，是引人走錯路的。
