You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord.

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy[ them].

But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD[ is] at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.But Moses’ hands[ were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put[ it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Thou,[ even] thou,[ art] to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom[ is] as the sand of the sea.And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

Before the decree bring forth,[ before] the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you.Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD[ is] at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach[ is] great like the sea: who can heal thee?Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.

But if they[ be] prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and[ in] the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious unto us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your persons? saith the LORD of hosts.

For the day of the LORD of hosts[ shall be] upon every[ one that is] proud and lofty, and upon every[ one that is] lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end[ is] it for you? the day of the LORD[ is] darkness, and not light.As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.[ Shall] not the day of the LORD[ be] darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me,[ yet] my mind[ could] not[ be] toward this people: cast[ them] out of my sight, and let them go forth.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for[ it is] nigh at hand;

For[ it is] the day of the LORD’S vengeance,[ and] the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles,[ which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

For the day[ is] near, even the day of the LORD[ is] near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD[ is] near in the valley of decision.

And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Fury[ is] not in me: who would set the briers[ and] thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.

And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?
