因為他們真地領導我人民走錯了路，說：「平安」，其實沒有平安。就像人、築了薄弱的牆，假神言人倒用灰水去塗抹。

因为他们诱惑我的百姓，说：‘平安！’其实没有平安，就像有人立起墙壁，他们倒用未泡透的灰抹上。

他们诱惑我的百姓，说：‘平安！’其实没有平安，就像有人筑墙壁，看哪，他们倒去粉刷它。

他们诱惑我的百姓，说：‘平安！’其实没有平安，就像有人筑墙壁，看哪，他们倒去粉刷它。

因为他们欺骗我的子民说，‘平安！’其实并没有平安，就像有人筑了一道薄墙，用白灰加以粉饰。

因为他们迷惑了我的子民，说：‘平安了。’其实没有平安。有人筑起薄墙的时候，他们就用灰泥粉刷那墙。

因為他們誘惑我的百姓，說：『平安！』其實沒有平安，就像有人立起牆壁，他們倒用未泡透的灰抹上。

因為他們欺騙我的子民說，『平安！』其實並沒有平安，就像有人築了一道薄牆，用白灰加以粉飾。

因為他們迷惑了我的子民，說：‘平安了。’其實沒有平安。有人築起薄牆的時候，他們就用灰泥粉刷那牆。

蓋彼誘惑我民、謂曰平康、實無平康、人築垣墉、彼以不堅之泥塗之、

蓋彼先知、誘惑我民、謂有平康、平康不至、若作垣墉、一人築之、而他人以不堅緻之泥塗之。

因彼誘惑我民、無平康之時、反言有平康、猶如我民築墻、彼乃塗灰、

“‘ Because they lead my people astray, saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,

“‘ “They lead my people away from me. They say,‘ Peace.’ But there isn’t any peace. They are like people who build a weak wall. They try to cover up the weakness by painting the wall white.

Precisely because they have misled my people, saying,‘ Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when the people build a wall, these prophets smear it with whitewash,

“ This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying,‘ All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash!

“‘ Since they have led my people astray by saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and since when a flimsy wall is being built, they plaster it with whitewash,

It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying,‘ Peace!’ when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash;

“ Because, indeed, because they have seduced My people, saying,‘ Peace!’ when there is no peace— and one builds a wall, and they plaster it with untempered mortar—

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and when one buildeth up a wall, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar:

“ Since they have led My people astray saying,‘ Peace,’ when there is no peace, for when someone builds a wall they plaster it with whitewash,

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and[ there was] no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered[ morter]:

“‘ This is because they have led my people astray saying,“ All is well,” when things are not well. When anyone builds a wall without mortar, they coat it with whitewash.

“‘ Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying,“ Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.

這抹牆的就是以色列的神言人，他們指着耶路撒冷而傳神言，為了這城見了異象，說有平安，其實沒有平安：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

她的神言人用灰水給他們塗抹上，見虛謊的異象，給他們行謊詐的占卜、說：「主永恆主這麼說」，其實永恆主並沒有說。

他們輕輕忽忽地醫治我人民的破爛，說：「平安了，平安了」；其實沒有平安。

我就說：『唉，主永恆主啊，你看，那些神言人常對他們說：「你們必不會見刀劍，必不會遭遇饑荒；我永恆主卻要在這地方賜給你們可靠的平安。」』

他們輕輕忽忽地醫治我子民的破爛，說：「平安了，平安了」；其實沒有平安。

然而他們卻不聽從；而瑪拿西竟迷惑了他們去行壞事、比永恆主從以色列人面前所除滅的外國人更壞。

如今我們呢、竟稱傲慢人為有福了！而行惡的人居然得建立了！他們雖試探上帝，卻還得逃脫、免受災難呢！」』

我的上帝說：『惡人並沒有平安福利。』

而惡人和騙子總會進到更壞，迷惑人也受人迷惑。

若有神言人傳平安為神言，就要等到話語應驗的時候，人才知道那神言人實在是永恆主所差遣的。』

就是神言人們以虛假傳神言，祭司們仗着他們的手法來掌權柄；我的人民竟喜愛這樣；到了結局、你們要怎樣行呢？

他們不斷地對藐視永恆主之話的人說：「你們必平安無事」；又對所有隨着自己頑強之心意而行的人說：「必沒有災禍會臨到你們。」』

我們指望着平安，好處卻不來；指望得醫治時，唉，反而受了驚嚇！

他們必說：「哀啊，主永恆主啊，你真是大大欺騙了這人民和耶路撒冷，說：「你們必得平安無事」；其實刀劍竟害及了他們的性命了。』

假使有人以虛假的作風往來而撒謊說：『我要向你們發神言講論酒和濃酒的題目』，這種人便可以做這人民的神言人了！

但聖靈明說、在末後的時期、必有人離棄信仰，意向着謬妄的靈、和鬼魔的教條。

『我的人民做了迷失的羊，他們的牧者使他們走錯了路，使他們轉到山上；他們從大山走到小山，竟忘了他們的安歇處。

我將這些話寫給你們，是論到那些要領你們走迷了路的人。

不過我有一件要責備你的，就是你容讓那婦人耶洗別；她說自己是神言人，又教導又迷惑我的僕人們去行邪淫、變節拜偶像、喫祭偶像之物。

義人轉離了壞事；惡人所行的、使他們走迷了路。

他們對先見們說：『不要見異象哦』；對見異象的人說：『不要向我們傳講對的異象哦；只要向我們說圓滑的話，傳講虛幻的異象好啦；

在撒瑪利亞的神言人之中我見過令人作嘔的事：他們靠着巴力而傳神言，使我人民以色列走錯了路。但在耶路撒冷的神言人之中我竟見過令人不寒而慄的事：他們居然行姦淫，行虛假事；又加強作壞事者的手，以致無人回轉離開壞事：他們在我面前都像所多瑪，其居民正像蛾摩拉。』因此萬軍之永恆主論到這些神言人是這麼說的：『看吧，我必將苦堇給他們喫，將毒苦水給他們喝；因為有褻瀆上帝的事從耶路撒冷的神言人發出，傳到遍地。』

那去召米該雅的使者對米該雅說：『看哪，眾神言人都一口同聲向王說吉祥話；你的話也要像他們中間的一位；總要說吉祥話呀。』

有可悚懼之事來到，他們必尋求平安，卻得不到平安。
