因为他们迷惑了我的子民，说：‘平安了。’其实没有平安。有人筑起薄墙的时候，他们就用灰泥粉刷那墙。

因为他们诱惑我的百姓，说：‘平安！’其实没有平安，就像有人立起墙壁，他们倒用未泡透的灰抹上。

因为他们欺骗我的子民说，‘平安！’其实并没有平安，就像有人筑了一道薄墙，用白灰加以粉饰。

因為他們欺騙我的子民說，『平安！』其實並沒有平安，就像有人築了一道薄牆，用白灰加以粉飾。

因為他們迷惑了我的子民，說：‘平安了。’其實沒有平安。有人築起薄牆的時候，他們就用灰泥粉刷那牆。

因為他們真地領導我人民走錯了路，說：「平安」，其實沒有平安。就像人、築了薄弱的牆，假神言人倒用灰水去塗抹。

蓋彼誘惑我民、謂曰平康、實無平康、人築垣墉、彼以不堅之泥塗之、

蓋彼先知、誘惑我民、謂有平康、平康不至、若作垣墉、一人築之、而他人以不堅緻之泥塗之。

因彼誘惑我民、無平康之時、反言有平康、猶如我民築墻、彼乃塗灰、

“‘ Because they lead my people astray, saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,

“‘ “They lead my people away from me. They say,‘ Peace.’ But there isn’t any peace. They are like people who build a weak wall. They try to cover up the weakness by painting the wall white.

Precisely because they have misled my people, saying,‘ Peace,’ when there is no peace, and because, when the people build a wall, these prophets smear it with whitewash,

“ This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying,‘ All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash!

“‘ Since they have led my people astray by saying,“ Peace,” when there is no peace, and since when a flimsy wall is being built, they plaster it with whitewash,

It is definitely because they have misled My people by saying,‘ Peace!’ when there is no peace. And when anyone builds a wall, behold, they plaster it over with whitewash;

“ Because, indeed, because they have seduced My people, saying,‘ Peace!’ when there is no peace— and one builds a wall, and they plaster it with untempered mortar—

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and when one buildeth up a wall, behold, they daub it with untempered mortar:

“ Since they have led My people astray saying,‘ Peace,’ when there is no peace, for when someone builds a wall they plaster it with whitewash,

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and[ there was] no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered[ morter]:

“‘ This is because they have led my people astray saying,“ All is well,” when things are not well. When anyone builds a wall without mortar, they coat it with whitewash.

“‘ Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying,“ Peace;” and there is no peace. When one builds up a wall, behold, they plaster it with whitewash.

粉刷那墙的人，就是以色列的众先知；他们指着耶路撒冷说预言，在没有平安的时候，为这城见平安的异象。这是主耶和华的宣告。

这地的先知用灰泥给他们粉刷墙壁，为他们见虚假的异象，行骗人的占卜，说：‘主耶和华这样说’，其实当时耶和华并没有说话。

他们草率地医治我子民（“我子民”原文作“我子民的女子”）的损伤，说：‘平安了！平安了！’其实没有平安。”

我就说：“唉，主耶和华啊！你看，那些先知常对他们说：‘你们必不会看见刀剑，也必不会有饥荒；因为我耶和华要在这地方赐给你们恒久的平安。’”

他们草率地医治我子民（“我子民”原文作“我子民的女子”）的损伤，说：“平安了！平安了！”其实没有平安。’

但是他们没有听从。玛拿西引诱他们去作坏事，比耶和华从以色列人面前消灭的外族人更厉害。

现在我们称骄傲的人为有福，作恶的人得建立；他们虽然试探神，却得以逃脱。’”

我的神说：“恶人必没有平安。”

但恶人和骗子必越来越坏，他们欺骗人，也必受欺骗。

但预言平安的先知，除非他的话应验，人才会承认他确实是耶和华所差遣的先知。”

先知说假预言，祭司凭己意把持权柄。我的子民竟喜爱这样，到了结局你们怎么办呢？”

他们不断对那些藐视我的人说：‘耶和华说：你们必平安无事！’又对所有随从自己顽梗的心行事的人说：‘灾祸必不临到你们！’”

我们期待平安，却得不到好处；期待得医治的时候，不料，只有惊慌。

于是我说：“噢！主耶和华啊！你真的欺骗了这人民，也欺骗了耶路撒冷，说：‘你们必平安无事’，其实刀剑已经架在颈项上了！”

若有人随从虚假的心，撒谎说：“我要向你们说清酒和烈酒的预言。”那人就是这民的预言家了。

圣灵明明地说，日后必有人离弃信仰，跟从虚谎的邪灵和鬼魔的教训。

我的子民成了迷失的羊，他们的牧人使他们走错了路，使他们在山上徘徊；他们从大山走到小山，忘记了他们安歇之处。

我把这些事写给你们，是指着那些欺骗你们的人说的。

然而有一件事我要责备你，就是你容让那自称是先知的妇人耶洗别，教导和引诱我的众仆人行淫乱，吃祭过偶像的食物。

义人作自己邻舍的引导；恶人的道路，却使别人走迷。

他们对先见说：“你们不要再看异象！”又对先知说：“你们不要再向我说真确的预言！倒要向我说动听的话，预言虚幻的事吧！

“在撒玛利亚的先知中，我看见可厌的事：他们竟奉巴力的名说预言，使我的子民以色列走错了路。在耶路撒冷的先知中，我看见可怕的事。他们犯奸淫，行事虚假，坚固恶人的手，以致没有人离弃恶行；在我看来，他们都像所多玛人，耶路撒冷的居民也像蛾摩拉人一样。”因此，论到这些先知，万军之耶和华这样说：“看哪！我必使他们吃苦堇，喝毒水，因为有不敬虔的风气，从耶路撒冷的先知中散播出来，遍及全地。”

那去召米该雅的使者对米该雅说：“看哪，这里的众先知都异口同声地对王说吉话，请你与他们一样说吉话。”

惊恐临到，他们就求平安，却得不着。
